Need help, first time staying at AKLV

We have a reservation for Jambo house next summer and are excited about our first trip "home". I have some questions though. Is there a map anywhere of where the actual DVC studio savannah rooms are located? Are any of them close to the lobby or a huge hike from the lobby area? Anyone have cool photo's they would want to share? We are so excited about our upcoming stay!

Maybe try a search on the miscellaneous thread for some reports and pictures.

Until Lisa pops in I can tell you that the studios are distributed throughout the 5th floor so some are close to the lobby and others quite a distance.

I had a savannah view in June, it was a distance from the lobby, past the elevator. I requested Arusha savannah but we got Sunset. No big deal, it was only 1 night.

This map of the Jambo House Units shows the location of the different booking categories. The small print lists the breakdown of each Unit, for example "2@2BR" means the Unit contains two 2BR lockoffs (one 2BR lockoff = 1 studio + 1 1BR), "3@DedSt" means the Unit contains three dedicated studios. As you can see, the studios are distributed throughout the 5th floor of Jambo House.

Thank you so much Lisa, this is very helpful. Hopefully my request is granted to stay close to the lobby, but at least with Animal Kingdom it is all under one roof so I won't mind the walk to my room in the air conditioning in late June : )
