We're a family of four traveling to WDW area on August 20 - 23 and need help with hotel suggestions. We are actually scheduled to go on the Fantasy to the Eastern Carribean for one week beginning Aug 24th. We decided to fly out a few days in advance to visit Epcot and Universal Studios.
We're looking at all our options for this stay. We don't want to spend much more than $200/nt. and will only be purchasing a one day park ticket for each of us. Is it best to stay at a WDW resort like Pt Orleans or even the Swan and Dolphon resorts or better to stay off site this time?
We will need a rental car (National) when we check out on 8/23 to get down to Cocoa Beach for our one night pre-cruise stay. The Swan and Dolphin are attractive in that there is a National car rental place in the resort. However, they don't provide complimentary airport to hotel transportation like the Pt Orleans. Are there any hotels off site that offer airport, WDW, and Universal shuttles? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We've only done WDW once before and I find it very overwhelming.
