My four kids, myself, and a friend are going to Disney Jan 3rd to the 8th, Five nights. My husband tells me this morning he thinks he will now join us! Now I have to rethink the whole thing. I have reservations to stay on site, 2 rooms, and use Disney transportation. Now I'm thinking with a total of 7 of us we might be better renting a home off site and renting a minivan. The only problem is I know nothing about staying offsite and all the home rentals I have found rent for a week at time. I need Tues. thru Sun. Any suggestions?

Hi,

www.quikbook.com has 3 and 4 bed condos at Emeral Island and Terra Verde for renting by the night.

However, read the fine print carefully, as I think thre is a cleanup charge for less than 5 night stay tacked on.

Windsor Palms is a nice complex with 2 and 3 bed condos and 3-6 bed homes. Many owners will rent for less than a week but will often charge a cleaning fee that is included on a week rental. Even if the listing says by the week, it can't hurt to ask. They'd rather rent for 5 days than have the place sit vacant.

I regularly use the site mbb has posted. Also check out www.vrbo.com . Renting a villa/condo can be a daunting task at first. For the number of people you have though it will give you tons of space. If you go w/ a villa you will most likely be able to get a 5bedroom/4bathroom private pool w/ heat for less than 2 rooms at a Disney Moderate. You'll also have your own washer/dryer which means you can pack alittle less.
