Im looking for a very old circa mid-1950's or 60's (not that that is old but for the article it is lol)

Its about a Fire Jumper from the National Forrest Service.

Gene Napier is the name Im looking for. He was one the first Fire Jumpers. He was also my Great Uncle :) My mom would like to find the article.

Anyone up for the challenge? ;)

Hi
We have the 112 years of NG on CD rom and I found the article you were looking for. It is in the July 1968 issue titled Forest Fire: The Devil's Picnic. I saw your uncle's name. Hope this helps.:)

MMMUUUUAAAAHHHH

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

My mom will be THRILLED!

Going to call her now! :)

Wow... DIS'ers can do anything..

I was going to suggest once you got the issue/date, you could probably be able to get the issue from the library or it could be on microfilm at the library

Wow! My Mom has every single issue of National Geographic ever published, and I was going to offer to see if she had a duplicate, but I won't be going to her house anytime soon.
