We've had a tough year Hubby was laid off for 11 months and we are just getting back on our feet. This is the only thing she is really asking for and since she needs an new coat anyway it makes sense to get it for her, but I hate to pay full price!

She wants a North Face Denali THERMAL Fleece Jacket Girls size Large in Black

I've been all over online and can only find them full price of $99 in that color. Can any of you great bargain hunters help me out?

Thanks in advance...

I have a use one you can have (but it is really used LOL). I picked up a replacement in March one year for a son who lost one at an end of seson 25% off sale, but otherwise we have always paid full price. Most coupons at places like Dick's specifically say not off of North Face. These jackets have been so popular for so long that I have never seen them on sale in the early season or for Xmas. On the bright side my kids have worn theirs for years and they are still going strong! Good luck on your quest.

if you cant find in girls, maybe check boys...good luck

The classic colors and styles rarely go on sale.

A few years ago I was extremely fortunate to get a $20 off $80 at Gander Mountain. It was the only deal I could find to make the jacket be "on sale".

Good luck.

I have a children's black size L that I am going to list on Craigslist for $40. I am hoping that is a fair price.

I lucked out last year with Macy's Friends and Family sale (it was in November if I remember correctly) And the North Face which is usually excluded from sales was INCLUDED in this one. It was 30% off.

Those are a hot commodity and don't really go on sale. I'm tempted to say that they're grossly over-priced and not worth it, but then I remember how much I adored my Member's Only jacket when I was a teenager. It was -- for the time -- similarly expensive, but I wore it every-every-every day, and it was one of the clothing items I loved best in all my growing-up years.

I'd say your best bet is looking for a 10-20% off one item coupon for Dick's Sporting Goods or Sun, Ski & Sport (or similar). Those expensive stores do run coupons like that relatively often.

I bought several jackets similar to that last spring for $15-20, and they'll be Christmas gifts this year . . . but that was maybe March when they were clearancing everything. You can't count on that happening, and if it does, it'll be too late.

I just googled your description and back country seems to be having a sale. Not sure if can post the link or if is the correct jacket but check out their site.

IDK where you live, but if you have a VF Outlet near you, then check there. If you know anyone that works for VF, ask them about any discounts they can get you IF the item is not sold out. Good luck!

Oh yeah - try moosejaw.com they usually have some great prices

We saw several styles at Bass Pro Shop this weekend, none over $100. I think the one you are describing was $80.

I just posted on these yesterday. Moosejaw is having a sale...I ordered two for $223 shipped and tax included. One was mens medium and one was a womans medium. Not sure if they have a large one in black though.

Good Luck!

I got DD13 one a few years back at Macy's with the freinds and family discount. mine was 20 or 25% off but it was something. I actualy bought 2. The one she is wearing this year is a XL and it's a bit too big but when she layers it with a sweatshirt or something underneath it's perfect.

yuo can also sometimes find them on sale on zappos.com

I also wanted to add (and this is just my 2 cents) the denali thermal jackets are no where near as warm as the denali fleece jackets. DD can wear her fleece until mid Dec but has to stop wearing the thermal about 2 weeks ago (once it hit 50)

Are you subscribed to Brads Deals? I have seen codes for North Face jackets several times. I don't know if it is the same one that you need, but worth a shot.

Your best bet is to go to ebay. People that get discounts on stuff in store often buy these type things up and then sell them on ebay so they are new and still have tags. My cousin used to work in a sporting good store in Texas and their head office would have them trying to sell snowboards and skis... each year they would end up having a huge sale on them in mid january because no one around would buy the stuff... he would use his in store discount to buy up a bunch of the high end stuff at very cheap prices and then put it on Ebay... Only thing you want to do is make sure the stuff isn't being sold by someone from out of the US, that would be risky.
