need help finding a budget hotel

We were looking into Red Roof Inn but havent really found that many reviews on it. We always stay at Red Roof Inns when we are traveling. I am going July 14th -July 19th and am looking to spend no more than $70 a night on a hotel since the only thing we will be doing there is sleeping. I dont want to be to far away from Disney. We will have our own car there. I really want to book our hotel soon. I have looked into rental places but those are just to expensive for us and if i was going to spend that much i would just stay on property. Pop Century is running $121 a night and I just cant afford that. I sure wish I could but I just cant. I looked into hotwire.com but I just dont like the fact that I dont know where I will be staying until after I buy and then I cant change or cancel my ressie. I am just a low income mom trying to take her kids to WDW and dragging her mom along to help with the kids. (not that I am dragging to hard. I think she is dragging me more than me dragging her. LOL) I had saved for 3 years to go on this vacation but do to some very major financial set back I had to dramatically scale back our vacation. I know I should probably reschedual it but I promised the kids a great vacation and I dont want to break my promise. Any help would be great in finding a budget good hotel for us to sleep in.

It sounds like you're going to have to make some compromises. Go to www.betterbidding.com and learn how to use Hotwire's icons to help you identify the property before you commit to it. I am more comfortable with risks, and I use Priceline when I really need to do budget trips. The site for getting an idea about that is www.biddingfortravel.com

I stayed at the Travelodge Suites Eastgate Orange this past two trips. The rooms are large, sleep 6 with a double sofa bed. Each room has a micro/fridge. There is a free breakfast, cereal, toast, english muffins, muffins and juice/coffee/tea. Free Wi-fi. It is easy to get to Disney less than 10 minutes to the parking lot. There are also a lot of inexpensive restaurants close by. I paid $46. with AAA.

The Golden Link Motel which is a further 2-3 minutes down the road also has excellent prices but no breakfast.


We choose to not spend a lot on hotels since we are never there. We are looking for clean, quiet, safe accomodations.

i still worry to much with the price range I am looking at to go to hotwire since I worry that i would end up with a roach motel.
Thanks nepean, I dont like to spend alot on my hotel either since we will only be sleeping there. I just want a clean safe hotel. Will definetly look into travelodge. I was also looking at comfort inn in LBV
I dont care what the decor is as long as its clean I dont care if it looks like a older place as long as i can lay my head on clean sheets with a clean room.

I would try priceline. Mousesavers.com has tips on how to get a decent hotel through this company as well as other tips for saving money including the latest offers. Another webite I like is travelzoo.com.

Check out the Fairfield Inn and Suites on Canada Avenue. The have a Orlando Magic rate for 80.00 dollars a night. I check the reviews and gets good reviews on tripadvsior.com.
