If you have stayed at the HoJo in Anaheim and have stayed in a Disney view room (or have seen one), is it worth it? What did you see from your balcony? Are the fireworks visible? Also, I know that Disney view rooms are only in building 1, but what buildings are best to stay in (noise wise and distance to DL wise). I want to stay away from the freeway. :scared: I am trying to decide between the regular room and Disney view. Thanks for any help!

And had a balcony in bldg 2 (I think). It faced toward disneyland, but we couldn't see much. I don't think I would pay extra for a Disney view room. I can't imagine being able to see much of Disney from any of the rooms. It's not like a MK view room at the Poly or GF. There is a very busy road between the hotel and DL. You can't avoid that no matter where you are in the hotel.:confused3

I have stayed at Hojo's many times but my first for a disney view room is this november so I can't yet tell you if it's worth it, but I heard it's nice. If you are a light sleeper and know that the freeway will bother you ask for a quiet pool room view (I believe it is building 2 but I don't recall 100%)

Edit: forgot to mention that I was told you CAN see the fireworks from your room (in the disney view) - I know you can see them from the hot tub so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to from the theme view room.

You can actually see quite a bit from the view rooms in Bldg. 1. You can see the monorail going by, the Matterhorn and Space Mtn. Here's a photo:

There is a better chance that you will experience freeway noise if you are in Bldg. 1. Especially if you are on the North side of the building. If you are closest to the Lobby, on the south side of Bldg. 1, you will be farthest from the freeway. You can place that in your request.

We actually prefer Bldg. 2 now. No view of hte park, but a nice balcony view overlooking the quiet pool and grounds. It has always been very quiet for us in Bldg. 2.

in all fairness, if you are a person who has to have complete silence when you sleep then you are going to have a problem in lots of places imo...but we were on the fwy side in bldg 1 in june and I brought a fan and we had a noise machine and we really couldnt hear much of anything unless it was down in the parking lot...and then all we heard was an occasional motorcycle so I wouldnt worry too much unless you are one of the above indicated...if so then just stay home:lmao:

I've stayed at the Hojo but not in a view room. We opted to stay in Bldg 2 overlooking one of the pools. We didn't miss seeing the fireworks from our room (nor paying the higher price for a view room) since we usually watched them from the park and one night we even watched them from the hotel's main pool/hot tub area. But I'm sure seeing it from your own room would be much nicer so you won't go wrong either way.

Distance-wise, Bldg 1 is right on Harbor Blvd and therefore closest to DL, but we didn't mind at all the extra 1-2 min it took us to walk to Bldg 2. In fact if I remember correctly (it was 2 years ago when we stayed at the Hojo) we rather enjoyed the walk as it was through nicely landscaped grounds.
