My son has a cute homework for week one in 6th grade, but he got stuck on a question that I am stuck on, too!

They show symbols that represent words. For instance, A frozen letter T is "iced tea" or a saw shaped as the letter C is a seesaw...

Got it? :teeth:

Well, we got all of them but TWO!

The first is a line of 8 z's -- zzzzzzzzzz

What is that?????

Then there is a picture of two wet, dripping socks..?????

I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer because, like Michael says, "ask the DIS, they know EVERYTHING! :p

Maybe Zero, for the first one?:) 'Z row'
Kim (still working on the 2nd one.)

Z ROW!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Kim, Mike and I are jumping up and down at 5:20AM! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

It might be too late, but the zzzzzz could also be "easy street" or "easy" or "lazy".

I used those in a language arts class, and those were all the "correct" answers for that brainteaser.

Sweat socks sounds ok, but I have seen different answers for that one as well. Sweat socks would have odor clouds instead of wet.. if that makes any sense. (At least for my extremely literal students it would)

Was there anything besides the socks? Like a letter or a log? I've seen something similar for waterlogged.

I guess he's in school now, so it doesn't matter.

Thanks to everyone!! Micheal got a special prize for knowing ALL of the decoder words. The sweat socks one he actually GAVE to a few kids!

I knew I'd get all I needed here! :teeth:
