We're traveling to the Orlando area in mid-October for three nights, and I am having some difficulty deciding where to stay. DH and I will be taking three active teenagers, and we're looking for a place where they are least likely to get bored.

I have received quotes from owners on VRBO, and from hotel websites, and so far I like:

Sheraton Vistana Resort
Orange Lake Resort
Windsor Hills
Regal Palms in Davenport

We like a reasonably-priced place with a fun atmosphere, lots to do, and a nice pool. A bar by the pool with some good music would also be great (like at the Hard Rock Hotel).

For those resorts that offer activities/entertainment, we would of course want to make sure that they would be offered in October.

Close proximity to Disney is really not a huge priority. We've done Disney many times, and we may do one park day on this trip, but we are really looking for more of a resort vacation this time.

I appreciate any input on the resorts I mentioned or suggestions of other places.

Thanks so much for any assistance! :goodvibes

Okay...I did not receive any responses to my post, but after my research I believe that the Sheraton Vistana Resort sounds like the place for us.

Can anyone tell me if there are activities during the month of October? Since it's not really peak season, will there still be entertainment, etc.? Still enough to keep three active teens busy?

We're planning to go Columbus Day weekend. It looks like we can only get a two bedroom with one king bed and two twins (was hoping for king + 2 doubles). Does this mean that we will be in an older section of the resort? If so, how bad is that really? We're not extremely picky, but we do like for everything to be clean and in good working order.

Any responses, advice, tips, etc. is VERY much appreciated!

I don't know anything about Vistana, but I just wanted to let you know that I think the pool at Regal Palms is more for th 13 and under crowd. I had a great time in the pool there, but my kids are also younger. I think older kids would feel like it is too small.
