Need help deciding when to go

Hi everyone. I am new to these boards and need help deciding what day to visit Disneyland. The dates that will work for our schedules are Sunday Dec. 2nd; Monday Dec. 17th; Friday Dec. 21st; and Saturday Dec. 22nd. I understand the crowds this time of year can get brutal. Which day do you think would be our best chance to have lesser crowds? If you think it would be Sunday Dec. 2nd or Monday Dec. 17th, do you think the crowds would be that much better that it would make the daunting chore of waking up for work/school the next day worth it?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I think the earlier you go will have the least crowds and get progressively busier the closer you get to Christmas.

That being said, you also need to remember that the Candlelight Processional will be going on every night except the 22nd. That will probably impact the crowds somewhat too. If you have no intention of seeing that show, I would go with the 22nd. I happen to be partial to that date because that is when we arrive.

But also I know that the 22nd is a Saturday. If you are planning on going from Open to Close, that is the day I would choose. Get there at opening and start gathering fast passes early.

If you just want a relaxing yet fun, beautiful trip to Disneyland for the day I would probably go with the 2nd.

We have narrowed it down to either Sunday Dec. 2 or Friday Dec. 21. Any opinions on these days?
