Let me first say that I am not a very good cook, and I don't really eat any vegetables other than potatoes and corn on the cob (both of which I know how to make). The problem is, I have an almost 9month old DD, and I want her to eat right. She'll be starting real food instead of the baby food soon, which means I need to learn how to cook vegetables soon! If any of you have the quickest easiest way to cook any of the following, or anything else you recommend, that would be great!
Sweet Potatoes
Squash
Asparagus
Peas
Green Beans
Carrots
Also, I'd like to make some items fresh, but can do some canned too.
Thank you!

I just steam most things - I have a steamer that fits over a pan of boiling water, so I tend to boil potatoes in the bottom, and then steam the veggies over it.

I also hate veggies and my dd is now 4 and eats most everything, so it can be done. We mostly use frozen veg, by the way, I much prefer them to canned.
And I should add that my dd had a lot of jarred baby food, as it was easy and I was working full time, and she eats quite a wide range of grown up food now - it has had no adverse effect, so if you need to use 'baby' food then don't feel guilty

When my steamer insert broke, I didn't replace it - I just use the microwave now. A little water (1 tsp - 2 Tbl, depending on the amount I'm cooking) tossed in with fresh or frozen veggies, cover & you have cooked veggies in a couple min. I didn't use the jarred stuff with either of mine ($$ issues) . . . I just used the baby food grinder to do a serving at a time. (You don't need to add salt to the water when cooking.)

Sweet potatoes can be baked in the oven. Scrub well & wrap in foil. Then place in a pan! (They'll leak all over the oven.) They're very tender when done - great for a baby! How long you bake depends on the size - but they take much longer than white potatoes. Just do them 'til they "stick done". DH & DD eat these regularly all winter - with a bit of butter & cinnamon/sugar sprinkled on top.

I love to cook the fresh baby carrots in the produce isle in the microwave with a tablespoon or 2 of orange juice added to them. Yum.
Most of hte other veggies I cook are frzon (birdseye deluxe) such as the broccolli flowerette. All of these I also cook in the microwave
