I so agree especially with three teenagers.
Whoops, I just saw that the OP already decided on AKV. And as you can see from my comment that I totally agreed with the OP's choice.
Have a great trip.!
I've booked at Kidani cause I wanted to secure a room at the 11 month window, but I'm still having a tough time with this difficult decision. On one hand, the bcv and bwv cost significantly more points for the stay and their rooms lack a twin bed for the teenage boy and they also lack the 3rd bathroom. On the other hand, the location of the epcot resorts cannot be beat and we'll probably be spending a lot of time at dhs and epcot. I've already ruled out vwl because it lacks a good location and doesn't offer anything special in the room.
So, do I use more points for location and do without the extra bathroom? In the room there will be me, dh, and dd (10), my friend's family, which consists of her, dh, dd (10), dd (13), and ds (15).
Without the twin pullout bed for the teenage son, I'm trying to figure out the sleeping arrangements and it seems that he would have to sleep with the 13 yr old sister (cause my dd & my friend's dd are best friends & will probably die if they can't sleep together).
I just sort of think that the two siblings are too old to share a bed if they don't have to. I don't have multiple kids or teenagers, so am I thinking right in this or do siblings of different genders sleep in the same bed often?
I want to ask my gf about it but she's so set on akv, I doubt she would give the most honest response---remember: she's never seen these resorts, aside from pictures, and she doesn't really understand the importance of location.
