Need Help Choosing between Beach Club or Art of Animation

Hi everyone,

I need help making a decision for a resort for my upcoming WDW trip in January . We (Me, my DW, 3 DSs (16, 14, 3) and DD (7)) are driving from Miami to WDW, staying 1 night/2 Days, and then driving back to New York on the second night (I know it's not much time ).

As you can see from the title, I am trying to choose between the Beach Club or the Art of Animation.

My reasons why/why not for each

Beach Club is right across from Epcot and it will cost $195, we would have to squeeze a little (we are bringing an air bed with us)

Art of Animation will fit us Comfortably without squeezing in and it will cost $140

Of course, saving money would be nice and I would love to try the DAAR, I think my little ones would love the theming. But, BC is so close to Epcot, since we have so little time there, that would be a plus too.

Just a note, my older kids don't want to go to BC because they know we wont have time to use Stormalong Bay.

I hope someone here on the DisBoards can help with opinions as you always have .

BC rooms won't accom 6. So you will need either 2 rooms or a villa at BC. The AoA family suites sleep 6 but I didn't know they were that cheap, $140? That's a pretty good deal!

The maximum occupancy for BC is 5 persons plus one child under the age of 3, so you won't be able to stay there unless you book two rooms.

You'll be much, much more comfortable at AOA anyway.

Squeezing into one would be a violation of the fire code. Disney won't do that.

Unfortunately with a family of 6 you won't be able to stay at the BC. (they would make you book a villa, a suite, or 2 rooms in order to fit everyone) But I think you've got a good plan in place for the family suite! The new AoA looks amazing to me! I would jump at the chance to stay there. Your 5 and 7 years old's will be blown away!!!!

I'd still choose a family suite at AoA. You'll be more comfortable and have 2 bathrooms. No way would I want to be squished into 1 hotel room with that many, and not even be able to enjoy the BC amenities.

Even if the cost were equal, I'd still go with AoA, just for these reasons.

I realize the OP changed the age, but I have a hypothetical question regarding capacity. How would the BC know there were 6 persons if one reserved a room only and bought their park tickets from another source? I realize "Disney" would not allow it, but how could they police it. We just returned from the BC, and they would have had no idea if we had 2 persons sleeping in the room or 8 persons sleeping in the room.
