Hi everyone, Im new at disboards. I am in need of some help choosing a restaurant to have dinner.

I am getting married at the Polynesian resort on May 8th at 3:00. Its just going to be me and my fiance'. We want to go to dinner afterwards. Can someone suggest a restauarant at a resort (so we can wear our wedding attire). I would love to get either crab cakes or lobster. I was viewing the menus and came accross Narcoossees and Fulton's Crab House. Has anyone had the lobster at Narcoossees or Fultons?
Any suggestions?

I would go to Victoria and Alberts. It is one stop away on the monorail. It is a bit expensive but, first class all the way. Congratulations.

if V&A isn't your thing (either price or the prefixed menu) I would go to the California Grill. They have a great wine list, very tasty food, and the cost of a meal with drinks will be about half of V&A.

Fulton's is ok, you'd have to travel to DTD. I also vote for California Grill. Food is excellent. You can check fireworks schedule for MK. Then book your reservation for about 1 hr before. You can request a window seat when you check in (not guaranteed) or you can walk outside and watch them. They also have the sounds piped in! Very romantic! Where ever you decide to go make sure you tell the CM you just got married at the Poly!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I wish you much happiness!

I also suggest Victoria and Alberts. It's romantic and intimate. The food and service are excellent.

Of your 2 picks. . . I've never been to Fulton's, but most people are pretty casual in the downtown Disney area. I personally would feel more comfortable dressed up in the Grand Floridian area.

Congrats and have a great life together.

I haven't been to Narcoosee's, but I can say that Fulton's isn't the place I would go to in my wedding attire.

I would agree with previous posters to go to California Grill or Victoria and Alberts. I haven't been to V+A, but I have been to CG. They are very accomodating, so I think it would be worth a call to see if they would serve you and your fiance the meal you want on your wedding night. The view of Wishes from the deck is very romantic. With enough advance notice, they may be able to make a special meal for you. Since it is your wedding night, you should think outside the set menus. Restaurants make changes for all sorts of reasons (CG made my son his own personal dessert because he has food allergies) and I am sure any restaurant would love to help you have a great meal after your beautiful ceremony. Of course, it is possible that they will say they can not do what you ask, but perhaps they would have a suggestion for a place that can.

Best Wishes!

Congratulations! I *love* the Poly!

I would definitely not do Fulton's! Also, I found Cali Grill to be too loud and bright, and not romantic at all. Delicious food, but just not as adult as I expected. Not what I'd pick for you.
Narcoossee's is very nice, but I would prefer Citrico's- it's amazing! I also have another suggestion- I know that Polynesian Room Service can do a "dinner for two on the beach". I think that would be awesome in your situation. You could see the fireworks, eat dinner, and it would make a beautiful photo. :goodvibes

Have a wonderful wedding! :bride:

Do not do Fultons!!!!!!! You will be so out of place in ur wedding attire....I think u should do V+A
