Need help choosing a resort

Hello all,
Here is my dilema, in Jan of 2010 my wife, 6 month old daughter, and I will be meeting my divorced in-laws in wdw. My MIL and her BF will be staying with us in a 1 bdrm villa and my FIL will be staying with his GF in there own room that they are paying for. I currently have ressies for a 1 bdrm at Kinadi and my FIL was planning on staying at AKL. I booked the room before I knew that Kinadi does not have any counter service available. My FIL would like to stay near us, my concern is that it will be a real hassle to go to the Mara for breakfast in the morning since we will be in a differant building. I do not see us using the kitchen very much on this trip.

My wife and I have discussed changing our ressies from Kinadi to Jambo for the ease of meeting up in the am. Our other option we talked about was switching to VWL which we think my FIL will really enjoy, and enjoy staying at as well.

What do you guys think? Have any of you ran into this in the past?

It may not be a problem. You've got Jambo and Kidani flipped. Jambo is the original resort where Mara is located. Kidani is the newly-opened dvc bldg so if your reservation is Jambo, you'll be in the same place as the counter service and with the regular resort rooms.

I'd move my ressie either to Jambo or to WL but not b/c of the food service. I would do it b/c of the bus service at AKL/AKV. If part of your group is at Kidani and part is at Jambo and you plan on going to parks you may end up having a tough time coordinating your travels since Kidani and Jambo each have their own stop.

I do like having the counter service at Jambo though!

Can't say that I ever have. Are you sure that you're not walking into a hornets nest?

Moving your reservation to Jambo or VWL would be more convenient. Roaring Fork has decent food and it's close by and VWL is a boat ride away from the MK.

Being in the same AKV building is nice, but not absolutely necessary! The 1 bedrooms are nicer in Kidani because they have the extra bathroom. You can either take any bus except the DTD bus and Jambo will be the first stop. Just take the DTD bus back from Jambo to Kidani, or you could walk, either way. I don't think it would be a huge hassle.

I would keep it like it is.

I forgot to mention that our daughter will only be about 6 months old at the time of the trip.
