Need Help Car Rental--Ouch

I am trying to rent a car from December 19th picking up at the Disney Care Center and returning January 1st to MCO. The quotes are over $1,000. Please anyone, help.

Wait a few days without booking. The price may come down. But do keep in mind that you are renting during peak demand; peak season.

Or try different dates.

Very broadly speaking, name brand rentals at the airport cost less than the same rentals from other locations even after the airport related fees are added in.

If you go through the Alamo rental at MCO for pickup and dropoff for your dates, you can get an economy vehicle for just under $400. Any reason you wouldn't be able to pick up at the airport?

At this point airport locations are going to be expensive, but keep looking. In the meantime:

If you have an American Express card, you can get 15% off plus use coupon code AD3829MRB for more $$$$ off at Alamo.com. I didn't have an AMex card but applied for one (blue card/no annual fee) just for the big savings on rental through Alamo. If this doesn't work out for you, try Mousesavers.com for other codes through other rental companies. Good luck!!

If you must pick up a car at WDW...then I would opt for something offsite near DTD or Enterprise or another car carrier that has pick up service. Usrulas Shadow is right-the fees onsite are what is making the prices so high. Remember if you are utilizing ME for the luggage handling, then have everyone but the driver go on ME, and have the driver meet you at your hotel
