need help -- biometrics on old tickets

I've done a few searches and can't seem to find what I'm looking for...

I remember reading an article that said ALL tickets now were being coded for biometrics. When we last went in April I had the bio scan for my AP, but DH and DS just went through w/ their old tickets and no bio scans.

Thing is, we are planning on doing the mad Dumbo Dash w/ our dd on this next trip in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want us held up at the turnstyle while they get bios added to thei tickets. (in fact, do they even do it for children??) Is this something we can take care of at Hotel Guest Svcs...or DTD on the day we arrive so the next morning we're good to go??

Maybe at DTD, but I think you're better-off doing this at the Guest Relations just outside one of the parks. Check with a GR CM.

On your first day, you could always ride the wonderful little boats from DTD to Port Orleans Resort, take a bus to MK, "fix" your tickets, then retrace your arrival transportation (or take the Monorail to TTC and a bus) back to DTD... its a new adventure (for free) if you haven't done it.

Small children's fingers are not "scanned" (measured), just older kids and adults.

I believe you get your fingers scanned right at the gate.

In August, we showed up with our old tickets and went to the gate. The ticket was put into the turnstile and then the fingers were inserted. At this point, I believe the turnstile associated the fingers with the ticket and nothing further was needed.

You get your fingers scanned after you insert your ticket at the turnstile. Children do not have to do this. It isn't something you can do ahead of time.
