I've got a sick child in Disney and don't know what to do or where to go. We called her doctor back home but they will not do anything for her. We are staying at The Caribbean Beach and didn't know if anyone knows of a walkin place or if there is something on site. She has a high fever that will not break. Appreciate any suggestions but I'm really hoping to not have to go to an emergency room.

Call the front desk/concierge person. I can't remember the name of the doc-in-a-box down there, but the front desk folks are usually great with sick kiddos. I seem to remember the doc-box place sending a van to collect you, too. Sorry I can't be of more help. Tell your little one to feel better!

The unofficial guide recommends:

Centra Care Walkin clinic
12000 South Apopka-Vineland Road
407-934-CARE

Buena Vista Urgent Care
8216 World Center Drive, Suite D
407-465-1110

There are a couple of groups that'll send a doctor to your room as well. And I'm sure HillPete is right - someone at the front desk should have that info.

Hope this helps!

Call the front desk and let them know. I'm pretty sure they can direct you to a clinic in Celebration.

We were there a few weeks ago and had to use one of the urgent care facilities nearby. We were actually at the MK and the clinic sent a van to pick us up from the park to take us to the clinic. It was the Lake Buena Vista Centra Care - 407-934-2279. They also arranged for a taxi (no charge to us) to take us back to our resort, because it was so late in the day that their own shuttle service was closed. They have an in house pharmacy should you need one as well. The front desk should be able to either call this in for you or refer you to them.

Good luck to you and I hope your child feels better really soon!

How high and how long? Is she really sick or just a fever? Kids can deal with a fever better than adults. give her ice chips and lots of fluids. Any other symptoms?

If it has been longer than a day or so I'm sure the desk can direct you to a walk in.

We did CentraCare a few years ago when DD got sick at Disney. She ended up having pneumonia-yuck. They were very helpful and kind. Hope your little one is better soon !

She's on the way with my wife to Centra Care. Thanks for the info. Keep your fingers crossed.

we went to the celebration hospital it was about a 15 minute drive but we waited for 5 hours... when i am away from home i always call the insurance company to ask them where to go so I know i will be covered (tricare.. ugggg)

I went to CentraCare and they sent me on to the Florida Hospital in Celebration.

Just a little piece of info incase you didn't know and need them. Turner Drugs deliver to WDW resorts and they are pretty quick too. If you have a prescription you can take it to concierge and they will organise it for you from Turners and have it delivered or you can call Turners yourself. From what I remember they room charge (and do charge a delivery fee) but it was very handy when you have somebody sick and no car, easier to have it all delivered.

Oh and I hope she is on the mend soon, poor little thing, not fair being sick at the best of times but when at WDW thats worse!

I hope she's feeling better. And thanks to everyone for all the great info.
