We are going to rope drop MK this morning and have lunch at Trails End. After lunch we are heading to Epcot for the rest of the day. We are offsite so driving ourselves. Should we park at Epcot before park opening and take the monorail to MK so that our care is at Epcot at closing? My first plan was to drive to MK, boat to FW for lunch then back to MK for car and drive to Epcot.

Either way, the trip after lunch requires a transfer. From Trail's End to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) will require a transfer. (Boat to Magic Kingdom --> ferry or monorail to TTC.) From Trail's End to Epcot will also require a transfer. (Internal bus to the Outpost --> bus to Epcot.)

If you park at the TTC, you'll just need to take the ferry or monorail. If you park at Epcot, you'll need to take two monorails. Based on that, I'd probably opt for parking at the TTC this morning.

Honestly, it's probably not going to make a huge difference.

Why can't you just park where you are eating and then drive to Epcot?
