Here's my dilemma....I made some REALLY cute sweatshirts for MVMCP (8 of them). I then put "shirt lights" on them. The lights are real battery operated lights that go on the shirt. It makes them look awesome. The problem is, each shirt now has a lot of wires on them.....not a problem to wear w/ another shirt underneath, but may be a problem on the plane! If I pack the shirts, my suitcase will definately be red-flagged because I'm sure they will look like some sort of bomb on the X-ray machine! If I carry them on, I'm afraid of the same reaction. I was thinking of mailing them to the resort. I need them for next Friday. Do you think if I mailed them tomorrow, they would arrive on time? Anyone ever mailed anything to a Disney resort? What do you think about carrying them on and explaining what they are? :confused3

I mail stuff all the time. If you go to the UPS site you can type in your address and the address it is going to and it will tell you how long it will take to deliver the package.

We always ship a package and there isn't a problem. Write your name and check in date on the box. I put my reservation number, but others have said not to.

Another option is carrying them on and waiting at security if need be. I am not sure how they would be regarded.

At MCO we were stopped because the boys had star wars toys with them and one of them "set" off the workers.

Can the batteries be removed from the shirts and packed in another suitcase? My DH travels with a lot of underwater camera and scuba and he finds if he breaks equipment down and puts it in separate bags it zooms right through TSA without a problem.

I would just mail them down. We mail stuff to the resort and use UPS. It will be waiting for you at the front desk when you check in. Like TAKitty said, just go to the UPS site and you can get all the info as to how long it will take and how much it will cost. You can also track it. Just put on the box your resort name and address, along with "hold for"the name the ressie is under, date of check in and ressie #. I know some say not to put the ressie #, but we always do.

Thanks for all your help. I decided to mail the shirts today. I checked the cost for both UPS and USPS...couldn't believe it but the regular old post office was HALF the cost of UPS! It cost me $12 for 2 day air and UPS was $25!!! Now we just have to get them home........ :goodvibes
