Need Help and to VENT!!!!!!!

I am sooooo very upset right now. Every step of the reservation process by phone with WDW has been a nightmare!!!!!! The first time I made 2 sets of reservations and it took me 4 CALLS!!!! I don't understand. I even sent a complaint to the BBB as well as the Disney Company. Now I'm trying to change the dates and the rep I spoke to put me on hold for 40 MINUTES!!!!!! She never checked on me, just put me on hold. I had had enough when she came back and just requested to cancel both reservations! Has anyone else had these kind of issues with the reservations people?? Also is it really worth it to stay at Disney or could we just stay off site and be ok? This whole process has made me sick! :mad: I have VERY simple requests.....2 rooms with 2 adults in 1 and 1 adult and 2 kids in the other, park hopper tickets and deluxe dining.....it shouldn't be this hard!!!! Any suggestions???? Oh and during my 1st call to WDW I talked to a supervisor that was terrible. I am so easy to please but these people do NOT have the "spirit" of Disney!
 
I am so sorry you are having to deal with this! There is no excuse, it should not be hard to do what you are trying to do. Before we bought DVC we always used CRO(central reservation office) to book our rooms at Disney. I never had a problem. Please don't let this deter you from staying onsite. It really is worth it. BTW, which # are you using to make the ressie? How about booking online?
 
I´m sorry you had such a bad experience.
What was the problem? It must have been bad since you decided to cancel both reservations.
Sure you can stay offsite and still be o.k. Most WDW visitors stay offsite and still enjoy their time at the World, but you will not be able to book dining if you stay offsite.
 
I'm using the 407-wdisney......oh the 1st time I did do the ressies online BUT I am paying for my Grandma and cousins to go so when I made the ressie with my credit card it put my name on the ressie and then took my grandma's name off.....that resulted in my 1st of 4 calls to resolve the issue. I'm ONLY trying to change the dates.....I have now been on the phone for over 1 hour LONG DISTANCE!!!!!! It has taken this person over 1 hour to cancel ONE reservation. I'm in tears and can't take this.

The problem with booking online is that you can´t make reservations for 2 rooms at a time. The OP would have to go through the process twice and reserve 1 room each time. I found this unbelievable when I made my reservation for 2 rooms, but Disney said there was no other way to do this online.
 
How frustrating. You are more patient than I. There is no way I would have stayed on hold for 40 minutes.

Call back and tell them you need to book 2 rooms, each with park hoppers and deluxe dining. Keep it very simple. You are not asking for much, but it could have gotten confusing with the 2 adults / 1 kid, etc. part. :confused3 Or just book it on-line at the PP suggested.

I definitely think staying on-site is nice.

I have usually had very good experiences with reservations, except for yesterday. I got a guy who had such a thick accent - I thought maybe the calls were outsourced on the weekends. Then to add to it he was very grumpy and very unhelpful. He tried to book my breakfast ADR for 5pm. :rolleyes:
So I ended the call, called back in and got the sweetest woman. After booking the ADR's and hanging up she found a huge error with our package reservation (in that the address connected to it was in miami) and her sup called me back fixing it.

What a HORROR, so SORRY to hear this!!

Personally, I would call them back on MONDAY so you can RELAX, planning a Disney vacation should NOT be stressful.


Perhaps on a Monday you'll get better service!!!

When I called today ALL I requested was to change the dates. THAT'S IT!!!! It took her 40 of being on hold to do that! I asked her if she thought it was acceptable and she didn't say a word. I am not making crazy requests. NOTHING special.

As previously stated I did make the ressies online but ran into HUGE issues. This sucks....all I wanted to do is take my cousins (7and 8) to WDW cause their parents can't afford to do it and this has been nothing but a HUGE headache.

I'm even giving my tickets to the Christmas Party away due to having to reschedule the trip....so I'm not a difficult person!
 
Get yourself a good TA, fast!!!

We use a TA ("Emily" at TMFL)... and it is so much easier!
No more long distance phone calls or waiting on hold. I just email our TA and let her handle everything (ressies, ADRs, special needs, etc.). She watches for codes and checks availability for us, then adjusts our reservations to optimize our savings. Changes to our reservations are absolutely pain free too--TA takes care of them and then promptly emails us back with the updated conformation from WDW. Best part is that it costs us nothing at all. It is like having free concierge services. :love: :wizard:
 
I agree. I´ve been using Stacey at Dreams Unlimited this time and she is amazing. I do not have enough words to express how greatful I am for her hard work. :)
 
This is precisely the reason why I use a TA. I get to make the plans and the TA handles any frustrations that arise with Disney reservations.

I never have used a TA, and that is mainly bacause I ahve had such good luck on my own (and I like to contol my own reservations). I would call back in the morning and start over. And as forthe 2 rooms thing, we travel with our 3 kids and my grandparents. We book 2 rooms, G&G and one kid in one room and me, DH and 2 kids in our room. This trip we ut it all on G&Gs CC and still had no problems. Call back and strt fresh and hopefully yo uget someone full of Disney Magic like we have. Also, it is soooooo worth staying on property!

I helped a friend book 2 rooms for the CBR (2/3-2/10) and the whole process took 42 minutes. Now I know why they do not have a 1-800 number. They must have stock in the long distance program. Any other hotel chain would take less than 5 minutes.
 
You are trying to change reservation dates for two room for Christmas time? I can see where that would be difficult for the CM. I've heard that some resorts are totally booked for that time. What dates and resort did you have originally and what changes were you making?

It would be nice if they could do two reservations at the same time, though.
 
this may not be politically correct...but everytime i get someone who can speak english..i usually have no problem...but sometimes i just hang up on the person and call back...
 
try using dreams unlimited travel...we have been using them and they are EXCELLENT!

I second this! Dreams Unlimited is wonderful! Not only can they make both room only and package reservations, they will check and see if any discount that come out would make your trip cheaper, and apply the code if it does. Not to mention they make dining reservations as well. I would much rather let Dreams handle my reservation than go thru all that aggrivation.
 
I've used a Disney-specialized TA for packages, my AAA agent for room-only, and I just yesterday booked my first ressie online at Disneyworld.com. All were handled with no problems. I have yet to call CRO and make ressies. However, we just have a pretty straight-forward booking. If I had something more complicated than 2 adults/2 kids, I'd definitely use a TA for any kind of booking.
