Need help again...which couch do you like?

I'm decisionally challenged. Is that a word? I always need help picking stuff.

Which couch do you like best?

Couch #1 from Ikea $400

Couch #2 Used...$250

Couch #3 from Pier1 imports $799..it is this really soft chenille fabric

The room is rather antiquey/pottery barnish with dark wood, an OLD walnut piano, an antique (1940's) phone and typewriter.

I like the first one from Ikea. I thought it was a Pottery Barn sofa until I read that it wasn't.

I like number 1 too.

DH though says it looks wrinkled and old, lol.

My old couch was the Ektorp sectional from Ikea. Unfortunately when we moved in with my parents we had to get rid of it. It was a great couch, and I miss it very much! I'd recommend #1 because I loved my Ektorp.

No it doesn't. And that's a good price too. Go to potterybarn.com and look at their basic sofa and slipcovers, much much more!

#1 looks comfy. Has a cozy, homey look to it. I really like #3 though. Very designer looking.

BTW....It is for a formal living room...not a family room, so it won't get used much.

Oh, and it is being used to stage my house to sell.

Look is more important than comfort.

I would go with #1, the other two look uninviting. My guess would be that you want people to picture themselves at home in your house. The first says come sit on me, stay awhile, the others won't say anything, they're snobs.

I like #1. It looks comfy and, if I remember correctly, it is a slipcover that you can throw in the wash.

depends on which fabric you got from pb. if you got a velvet it wouldn't be wrinkley, a canvas would probably be like the ikea couch and a linen would be very wrinkley. all of those slipcovered couches have that kind of look though.

no. pottery barn is owned by williams sonoma which also owns west elm, hold everything, pb teen and pottery barn kids.

We have the Ektorp pull out love seat, and it's ok, but not the comfiest couch in the bunch.

#2 is too small and #3 looks to modern for the room you describe.

Definitely #1. My couch looks a lot like that in style, but it sure wasn't $400.
I like traditionally shaped upholstery, which means I dislike #3 a lot and am not wild about #2.
