This will be our first Disney trip and well as our first road trip. We haven't decided on our length of stay at WDW as of yet. We're staying at Fort Wilderness Resort (the campground). We could stay at the Fort for 10 days and take the long way home (New Orleans, Nashville....6 days to get home), or we could stay at The Fort for 14 days and drive straight home (giving us 2 overnight stops on the way home). If we decide to stay for the 14 days, can we get a 14 day MYW ticket? It's not that we plan to spend everyday, all day in the parks, but it would be nice to have the option to go everyday, but make it a shorter day and have the rest of the day at The Fort.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that the max MYW ticket is 10 days. Adding on the park-hopper and never-expire options on a 10-day ticket is a great way to go. You'd have the option of hitting a park anyday/anytime. If you went a day without hitting a park, then you would not be using up a day on the ticket. In fact, you could likely go with something less than a 10-day ticket if you already know there'll be days when you *won't* be heading into a park.

The maximum number of days for a MYW pass is 10. You have a few options...adding the water parks and more will give you 10 more admissions for either the water parks or Disney Quest. If you go that route but know you won't use all the days on the ticket you can add the no-expire option. There is also the park hopping option which is not usually worth the extra money for a first timer.

If you want more than 10 days of theme park admission than your best bet is the Annual Pass, but it's very expensive. With the AP, though you can purchase the DDE card that will get you 20% off most of your meals.

What you really need to do is plan out exactly what you want to do. Such as how many days in the park, do you want to go to the waterparks or DQ. After you plan out what you want to do you can then determine the best ticket for your needs.

Would you get 20% off the DDP, or is it one or the other? That would make a difference since we may end up staying 14 days.

No..... no discount on the DDP. Yes..... it's one or the other. If you are to eat out for 3 meals a day the DDP is most likely the least expensive option. You didn't say how many people...adults....kids? The way you want to eat makes a difference...by that I mean how many meals per day and where.

IMO, 14 days on the DDP is way too much. It is a lot of food and you may find that the ADR's will run your entire vacation. Also, the cost over 14 days is steep. You could divide your ressie in 2 and have the DDP added to 1 part.

There will be 6 of us. This is the ages at the time of our trip.

Me (33)
DH (34)
DD (almost 7)
DS (almost 6)
DS (3.5)
DS (almost 2)

I'd like to fit in as many character meals as we can, as well as a few other restaurants.

Can I just tell them to divide it into 2?

If we did this, we could go to all the character meals the first weekwhile we're on the ddp, and just pay for the other restaurants we want to go to the 2nd week. Hmmmmm, I'll definately have to work this out both ways to see what the best price would be. I'm close to picking all the restaurants we want to try, so I could look at the menus and estimate the cost of a meal.

Thanks :)
