Need Halloween Trip Advice!

Hi All,

Been lurking on this board for quite some time.. Need some help with an upcoming Halloween trip for my boyfriend and me. It's his birthday on Halloween so I'm hoping to make this trip extra special.

We had PAPs in the past, by those along with my Disney Club card expired in July so now we're back to "square one" with limited discount options. Right now I only have AAA.

We are looking to go October 30 - November 3. Arriving 5:30pm on Thursday and hoping to make it to MNSSHP on the 30th since it's sold out on the 31st. First question: Doyou think we will have enough time to make it to MK for the party?

I am having a hard time with booking a room as I do not want to pay rack rates (never have in the past). I called Disney this morning and there were no AAA rates available for All-Stars, CBR, or Boardwalk. The only discount I was able to get was on the last night of our stay (11/2 - reduced rate kicks in)....

Also, we need passes... Want to go to the parks, water parks, PI and DQ... so UPH would make most sense I think. However, we don't need a pass for Thursday since we plan to go to MNSSHP (hard ticket event) and we dont need a pass for Monday since we leave at 5:30am... I recall reading posts on CRO dropping the first or last day of the UPH, is this true?

Any suggestions on the best way to book room and tickets? (Life was so much easier with PAPs - LOL).

Why don't you hop on over to the DVC Rent/Trade Board and see if you can rent points from someone for a studio. Since it's last minute you may be able to get a good deal. Your other option is to call and see if there are any AP discounts available, and if you think you may be going back within a year, one of you buy an AP ticket, it may be worth it depending on what kind of discount you can get.
