Hi all!!! We will be staying at AKV - Kidani for the first time in April 2011. I do cook while on vacation:eek: I KNOW!!!! But I really enjoy it. We usually order from GardenGrocer and have always LOVED this option. However since we will be there for Easter and I plan to make Easter Dinner I would prefer to do my own shopping this time. We will have a rental car driving from MCO. After some searching I have narrowed my options to these:

I will need to purchase milk, bread, eggs, meat - some chicken, ground beef and either a small ham or turkey breast. And some fresh fruits and veggies. At home we have Martins/Giant so if any of you from the PA,MD, NJ area have used both that is my comparison. We do have a SuperWalMart although I do not buy their meat and we do not have a SuperTarget so I have no idea what one is like - sad I know!!!;)

This close to AKVs and I have read that many use this store. I have never been and am not familiar with it.
Publix Super Market - 0.63 miles away
14928 E Orange Lake Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34747 US

Again close to AKVs and I am familiar with Targets layout.
Super Target - 0.75 miles away
3200 Rolling Oaks Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34747

Of course this is old reliable, know the layout and prices but I do not care for WM meat.
Walmart Supercenter Store #5420
3250 Vineland Rd
Kissimmee, FL 34746
(407) 397-1125

I prefer a one stop shop. Also any help with nearby liquor store would be helpful!!! Thanks!!!!

I would go to the Publix, that you have listed. Publix will have beer and wine, if you are looking for liquor not sure about that area.

At WDW we usually shop at Publix or Walmart. If we have a large group, we go to Costco.

We used the Publix that you have listed during our stay last year at Christmas. It is a full service store with meat departmart and deli. It is close and seems to have a good selection. Avoid Goodings (or is it Goodies?) that is located close to DTD. It is small, not well stocked and VERY over priced- almost like you have never even left property:eek:

We are leaving in just about a month for our family Thanksgiving trip and will use publix again!

And Publix has Boar's Head meats and cheeses in deli, and also offers some aboslutely scrumpious desserts. You can check out their webpage at www.publix.com I've even ordered their turkey dinner for Christmas! It had cornbread stuffing, so I made our own sausage recipe, plus our regular sweet potatoes (no marshmallows).
