has to be very comfortable for all day... wider foot and recently injured (recent double break) but back to normal shoes.

several in Naot style that are cute and supposedly comfortable but so much more money than necessary for summer shoe.

I don't care for Gladiators myself, but I can tell you I have 2 pairs of Naot sandals, and while spendy, they are super comfy and have held up to several summers of wear.

As I sit here icing my sprained ankle, I can recommend the mary jane crocs. I know they aren't pretty but for a bad foot/ankle, they are super comfortable. I wore mine all the time last year at Disney (the ankle has been sprained and resprained for 3 years now).

I was looking for the exact same thing as you recently and after about 1 month of searching I found them:banana:

Taos sandals! Love them I paid $85 which is a lot for me but I needed GOOD sandals that could take a lot of walking for vacations. I recently did about 20 miles over 4 days in DC and no problems!!

amazon has them

I got the silver/gray colored ones and they match everything! Whole sizes only. I usually wear a 9 , but with these the 8 worked perfect.:worship:

thanks, everyone!

Yes, I love the MJ crocs too - I have run down my 2nd pair of that style - also at WDW. I did pull them out for the roominess for this foot problem (swelling)

and, those Taos are cute! I am seriously considering. Thank you

I bought these a few years ago as my Disney shoes since I hate wearing sneakers.

Last year I stepped on something and had an infection and swelling in my foot. I couldn't wear any of my normal shoes, and these were a lifesaver. You can adjust all the straps to be wider or tighter, so it was easy to accommodate an ace bandage when I needed to. They also provide good support for your feet. Shoebuy frequently has 20% off coupons, so you could even get a deal.
