We will be staying at a good neighbor hotel from 2/19/16 thru 3/2/16.

I know there is not really an off season any longer. I would, however, like to plan to visit DL and DCA on the least crowded days. We get one MM.

We will also be doing Legoland, Knotts, Bowling at Garden Walk, Medieval Times, and Universal Studios.

We will go to DL 3 days, DCA 2 days.

With that being said, if this was your trip, which dates would you go to which parks?

Sun 2/19
Mon 2/20 - President's Day Holiday
Tues 2/21
Wed 2/22
Thurs 2/23
Fri 2/24
Sat 2/25
Sun 2/26
Mon 2/27
Tues 2/28
Wed 3/1

We were going to go last year but I had a pulmonary embolism - I am very lucky to be alive! We will be celebrating this trip for sure. :) I am still not my pre-clot self- I get very tired and exhausted easily, which is why I planned on so many days, to allow time to rest.

Thanks!!

smartlabelprint, Yes, we are getting the 5 day park hoppers- Doing 3 days at DL and 2 days at DCA (hopping back and forth if needed, but usually we stay in the same park all day). Thanks!

If you do DL during the first week, you'll have a busy Monday, but the rest of the week should be fine. If you do DL the following week, it'll be better crowds on that Monday for sure. BUT....if you have 3 days at DL park, one busy (Prez Day) day can be made up for the other two days. If you hit Legoland or Universal or Knotts on Presidents Day, you can't go back and re-do it.

We'll be at DL the last few days of your trip, after a stay at Great Wolf Lodge earlier in the week. But if I had all of that lined up that you do, I'd rather do DL on Prez day than Legoland. At least at DL, you have FP to help with the crowds (and time to go back like I said above). At Legoland, it's just busy. Not sure about the other parks. Either way, you'll have a slow end of the week at DL. And the pink tree blossoms look really great that time of year.

And remember, Legoland is closed on certain Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Be sure to check the calendar.

We were planning on doing this:

Wed 2/22 - Fly In
Thurs 2/23 - DL/DCA
Fri 2/24 - DL/DCA
Sat 2/25 - Knotts / Medieval Times
Sun 2/26 - DL/DCA
Mon 2/27 - DL/DCA
Tues 2/28 - DL/DCA
Wed 3/1 - Fly Home

I figure we do knotts on Saturday as DL/DCA will probably be slammed. It'll probably be slammed Fri-Sat-Sun.

I also just recently found out that there is a Jr. Cheerleading championship happening at DCA the 25th - 26th. So even more reason to goto Knotts on the Saturday. Haha

I'd do Knott's midweek. With 5 days at DLR you can absorb 1-2 more crowded days, whereas the difference between weekdays and weekends are much more pronounced at Knott's, so why not take advantage of lower crowds if you're only doing 1 day there. Unless there's some things that only happen on weekends there, I don't usually keep track of the entertainment schedule over there.

Hey! Thank you so much. This is exactly the info I was looking for. I was originally thinking of avoiding DL/DC on the holiday, but I like your point about being able to make up for it. This helps a lot. Thanks!

Thank you! Oh yeah- I definitely want to avoid the cheerleaders LOL We went to Knotts in 2015 while there, we went on a weekday and there was NO ONE in the park. I mean literally no one. We walked onto everything multiple times. I'm crossing my fingers for that again. haha

I agree. I never thought about it like this, and I really appreciate this info.
