I have been able to stay at both beech club and board walk with my SSR points, in a normal year. It is way more work, i have to some time waitlist BC and have had to do split stays….
i bought at SSR cause that was what they were selling at the time…. I also paid 79 dollars per point.
i bought at BLT because, i was tired of waiting listing…..
i bought at RR because my son though the sky line was cool, and i paid less for RR than i did for my last 50 points at BLT….
the point is you have to decide what is the best use of your time and money….
if you want to be a
dvc owner buy at SSR or OKW and try to book BC the day the 7 month window opens, plan on staying at Your home resort and be happy when you get what you want, you will get your best value that way. If you want to stay at beach club buy beach club.
if you are looking to get as close to 50 years as possible buy RR.
Next a studio is fine with two little kids. In a couple of years you are going to want a one bedroom or maybe a two, are you going to bring grandma ? Youre gonna want a 2 BR …
extra points
are easy to rent !
you can also bank a year and go every other year and turn your 150 points into 300….
lastly, you didnt ask, and this is just my opinion, i would pay a little extra and buy direct. It doesnt seem like much but i save 10 percent of food, 20 percent of stuff, im not sure in resale gets a discount on park passes but that is huge too….
on a recent trip we meet my brother family they are 5 people, we were 7 and my mother was with us as well, my 10 percent discount was a saving of 65 dollar per night. It all adds up… and my deeds will never be restricted
good luck
