My husband and 7 yr son are planning to take advantage of the Disney specials Nov 2013.
We are planning one week. . Not enough time for all of it but will go back again in the future. I'm looking at Wilderness Lodge and book the 30% off special. I'm thinking a 4 day Disney pass then Legoland, Universal or Seaworld another day.
I can not make up my mind about the Disney dining plans. Dining plus or deluxe dining? We are typically not the type to grab a muffin for breakfast and typically like to have healthy options and like flexibility. ..I'm afraid the dining plus won't be enough but then deluxe too much? With table service, do you have to reserve or can you just show up? We are not big planners and like to go with the flow so I'm worried about having to stick to certain times...
Also my son wants to go to Legoland for a day... any advice on transportation that is inexpensive?

I think the standard plan is enough for you, especially if you are planning days away from the disney parks.. why pay for three sit down meals a day when three of those days you won't be on property.
