Hello!!

We are planning a trip to WDW in June. Since Easter is coming up quick, we thought our kids DD 7 & DS 6 would enjoy getting Disney Themed Easter Baskets with things they could use on the trip. I have a few ideas but I would LOVE to hear what you guys come up with !!!

Thanks - Christine

There is another thread going with the same topic. You may want to peak!

I posted this on the CB as well. Is there another thread on this forum? Sorry for the duplicate.

I did something similar for my nephews on their last trip.

Here's some suggestions:
1. Portable casette player -- I got a really inexpensive one ($5) at Wal-Mart for each of them. They then packed a few casettes that interested them (including Disney). No fighting over one nice one and at $5, if they lost it or dropped it, I was out $5, not $35. By the way, they still use them!

2. Current Disney Magazines -- Such as Disney Adventures & The Disney Magazine.

3. Small activity pads -- this came in handy not only on the plane, but while waiting for shows or to preoccupy them at other times (like meals).

4. Birnbaum's Guide to WDW For Kids, By Kids -- this allowed them to look at all the attractions and pick out the one's they really wanted to go on.

5. Disney Autograph Books -- I think you can find these at either your local Disney Store or at your local Hallmark store. Don't forget a Sharpie for the characters to use to sign.

Hope these help!

I don't know what your budget is but if it's not too small here is what I did.

I have two children that need Easter baskets. A 3 year old girl and a 10 year old boy. I called WDW Florist and ordered a basket for each. A Minnie Mouse Backpack basket for the 3 year old and a Buzz Lightyear Backpack basket for the 10 year old. Each basket cost me about $70.
The person on the phone was rather helpful, and explained to me what was in each basket. I can't remember the details now, except that the Buzz Lightyear basket had one of those electronic Disney Trivia games in it.

Not the cheapest solution, but it's any easy one. I had the cards read to each child, Love Easter Bunny.

We are checking into OKW on Easter morning and WDW Florist assured me that they will be there when we arrive. They said they would actually deliver the baskets to the resort on Saturday night.

Have a good trip!

I must have been a sleep last night when I read the post.
Well at least I gave an idea for someone at the parks on Easter. :)

A easter egg hunt with Disney dollars in it is always good.

Good ideas! I too wanted to theme our kids Easter baskets to get them ready for our upcoming trip. A few things I had thought of were a gameboy game for each for the drive down, Disney Pez, those giant Disney lollipops ($1 at our Dollar Store), glow sticks & necklaces, Disney dollars for souveiners (I was going to roll each dollar and tie with a ribbon - do about 30 for each child, but I like the Easter egg idea too!)

Any other ideas? Where is this other thread?

My son will turn ten on Easter and I'm having difficulty with the Easter/birthday thing. One item I found is a book at Booksamillion titled, Hidden Mickeys. It cost about $11.00

I bought a bunch of Disney Princess Easter stuff at Target. I got a princess basket, amd they had some crafty princess stationary sets. I think some bead stuff too. I bought it actually it's just that I shoved the bag in my closet so the kids don't see it.
It was in the front of the store. Akso they had a bunch ofprincess stuff in the toy aisle too.

A fanny pack to carry some munchies around the parks.

Disposable camera

Disney store
---washcloths, you know the ones that expand the first time you use them. They have that one section that had all "stocking stuffer " size stuff/toys junk (whatever you want to call it ;) I plan to sort thru the next time I go to the mall by myself I know the kids love it :D )

---Depending on what size basket you use they had a cute Dalmation pages and marker set that was about $5. that would be good for the plane ride down.

---If you are into the pin trading thing you can put a starter in the basket.

---I also saw socks with cahracters

---T-Shirts with characters

---also instead of a stuff bunny or chick a beanie size of their fav. Dis character?

---A bathing suit with a Dis. character. I have seen them in Disney store , Walmart (i think) and Kohls. I'm sure there are others.

I love this thread because I have been planning my DS's Easter basket for the last month. He's 15 but we still do the basket and this year we are going to wake him up on Friday the 18th and tell him "since we are going away for the weekend we want to give you your Easter basket now". He thinks we are going away for that weekend just to the White Mountains in NH which is about 3 hours from our house and we go there alot. Well, his basket is going to have a new pair of shorts, a new Disney t-shirt, Disney dollars, and 16 pins I got at TDS on clearance. (He's already into pin trading.) Once he gets a look at everything we will spring it on him that we are actually going to WDW for 10 days and leaving that morning. :)

This is our 8th trip taking him but the first time we've ever suprised him with it. I can't wait to see the look on his face.
