I'm not sure of the ratings you guys are talking about. Never been to a site with ratings. I LOVE Dell. I bought my computer through them and several other things. I get in with 2 days usually, low, to no shipping on most and they take back and replace stuff when it is faulty. I guess it's waht I'm familiar with, so I stick with them. I think you are right about the gobuydig thing. I think that is the company that was referred to as a company that Beach was hiding behind.
where do I find these rating? What do they stand for? I know I can't complain at all about Dell.

Like you, I have had nothing but excellent service from Dell; however, their resellerratings lifetime rating is 4.38 out of 10, which is pretty dismal. By comparison, online retailers like Beach Camera, buydig, and B&H have stellar ratings.

Please be sure of your facts before slamming a reputable online retailer (or B&M, for that matter) as a "scammer" or a "liar".

Anyone wishing to purchase anything online would do well to check them out at resellerratings before placing the order.

Theoretically there are a few places with ratings, like BizRate, and places like Yahoo Shopping, Froogle, etc, have merchant ratings. Reseller Ratings looks like it may be one of the most comprehensive, though.

I've done a lot of dealing with Dell for laptops at my last job... after working with literally hundreds of Dell laptops, my motto for anyone considering buying a laptop for themselves is "anything but Dell"! Needless to say, I'm not a fan. Service was fairly good, but we got corporate service, which is a lot different than what a home buyer gets (US vs India being just part of it), and we had an awful lot of parts replaced on these things... And in terms of buying stuff like cameras, etc from Dell, it sounds like there are lots of cases of them selling you things that they don't actually have in stock.
