Need Digital Camera Help

The price is decent, although you could save a little by buying it from another online retailer. May I ask what features this camera has that make you want it, over other models from various manufacturers?

Here's one review: http://www.megapixel.net/reviews/pentax-t10/t10-gen.php

Personally, I'd want a camera with more than a 3X optical zoom, but that's just me.

I maybe wrong but like I said I'm clueless with these cameras. My dad saw a demo of the camera on TV this morning and said he believes this is the camera for me, that's the true reason why I like it. What I'm looking for in a camera is to be able to take decent photo's at night, take pictures quickly without much of a delay between pictures, and have a camera that isn't to technical where you have to do a dozen settings before taking your picture. This camera here seems to be a point and click and go camera.

i don't think there's anything special about the pentax. i'd look at a canon instead. btw, point-and-shoot cameras in general don't have "a dozen settings". that's why they're called that. :)

Chrissy, this may well be a good "match" for you; however, I would advise that you do a little research on other models, before taking the plunge. For night or low light photography, you need to consider a camera's high-iSO performance, for example. There are lots of reviews available on the internet (see ukcatfan's post above); so many, in fact, that the research can be an all-consuming "pastime", as I discovered over the past year. I know nothing about Pentax's P&S line, so cannot make a valid comment.

You mean researching a camera can be so time consuming it may take away from me researching and planning our next WDW trip  Oh my! Well I guess it would pay off in the end, I would end up with great pictures. The camera I have now works find takes good pictures. But I wasn't happy with the quality of pictures for the fireworks, lion king, or spectro magic. Thanks for the help everyone. I will do my research.

In all honesty, those are some pretty challenging "photo ops" and require good to excellent low-light ability, which you just are not going to find in a $250 PnS. In order to really do those subjects justice, you may want to think about dSLR, which is a quantum jump in equipment, *and* price.
