Need couples vacation ideas

It is always fun to be in the very beginning stages of trip planning where it feels like anywhere could be possible. I am having a hard time suggesting places to you because it seems like you don't want to be far from the kids.

If it were me, I would definitely go to Europe or South America. I thought about suggesting a cruise but it would be really hard for you to get back to your kids if that was your fear.

Where ever you end up, I am sure it will be wonderful!!

Cancun is fairly inexpensive in July, about $1000 per person for all inclusive, also you could save money by cruising out of Baltimore on Carnival :)

Cruise! Cruise from Baltimore, cruise from Norfolk, cruise from Fl after dropping off your kids. Just cruise. Any line, any ports, always relaxing, fun, someone pampering you, cooking for you, cleaning for you...... Perfect.

Did I mention CRUISE???!!!!!!!!!!!

Another vote for NYC! We have gone the past few years for our anniversary. We're only 2 hours away, so a quick drive for us. My DH is NOT a beach person, so the city is perfect for us. We also LOVE food and wine, so we plan out trips around what restaurants we want to try. We stay at a trendy boutique hotel downtown. Pricey but SO worth it. Last year we hung out in the Lobby bar with Keifer Sutherland!!!!! Now we jokingly refer to our 10 year anniversary as our Keifer-versary!!!!!

Ok, thanks so much for all your thoughts and replies!!! We have come to a decision!! Finally, lol. So, here is what we decided......since we were so torn, we have decided to take 3 smaller trips spaced out over the summer.

Trip #1 Las Vegas: for the hubs about 3-4 nights on the strip, complete with gambling, debauchery the works

Trip #2 NYC: for both, 3-4 nights, in Times Square, dinner and a show, central park, greenwich village, strolling around taking in the sites.

Trip #3 Cruise: for me, we will set sail from Miami, to visit Key West, and Cozumel, Mexico. I am super super exicted.

Thanks so much for all the thoughts and suggestions and please feel free to give me additional thoughts on these choices if you have recommendations for things to do/see/eat at in these areas. I am sooo excited!!

You mentioned wanting relaxing - I went to the spa at the MGM grand and that was beautiful and relaxing, as was a quiet hour or so at the secret garden of siegfried and roy, and watching the fountains at the Bellagio. I'd seen the fountains on TV but it doesn't begin to do it justice.
