Need costume ideas for whole family

DH(will be 27), Me(will be 24), DD(will be 2.5) & DMIL(celebrating 55th there) will be doing MNSSHP next year and I'm trying to work on costume ideas so I can look at end of halloween this year for all the sales on costumes.

What are some ideas for a family to wear and match. I was thinking pirates, but not sure I want DD to dress up as a pirate or that she will even want to. She will be 2.5 and as of right now loves JoJo and girlie things.

Someone else posted that they dressed their boys as pirates and their girl wore her princess outfit, like "the governor's daughter." I thought that was cute.

 

[Pirate&Princess]

We are going in February and attending the private Pirate and Princess party and we are all dressing as pirates. I have two DD8 and DD5 and this will be their 4th time. They love the princesses but have chosen "girly" pirate outfits. If you log on to Lillian Vernon, and type pirate in the search button all of the pirate costumes come up. One chose the "Beautiful Buccaneer" and the other chose Scar-let. I found one for me to match the Beautiful Buccaneer.

My husband is dressing as Captain hook, I as Wendy, our daughter as tinkerbell and our son as Peter Pan!! He even has the red hair that Peter has in the disney movie!! I am having a hard time finding an adult Wendy costume without paying way too much for it. Does anyone have an idea? I could be Tiger Lily but that is also expensive. I think every year we will try a family theme. I like the idea that they see us playing with them.
