Need Citywalk Movie/meal Coupons

that's good news belle.

i will use my meal coupon and not planning to use the movie coupon.

maybe i should put that on ebay...........jk :teeth:

Has anyone heard the coupon is not valid? It just gives you a % off? I was reading on another website that the coupon only gives you 20% off. I really hope this is not true as I have managed to collect 10 of the coupons. Has anyone recently used one???

it is not a % off deal.

with the coupon you exchange it for 2 vouchers.
one for a meal, the other for a movie.

valid at city walk only.

it is FREE
no strings attached

Yes, I know that's what the coupon states. On another website I read that a sign has been placed next to customer service stating the coupon was a misprint and it's only for 20% off. I haven't confirmed this just wondering if recently anyone had any problems???

I would appreciate it if anyone who has been to universal within the last week post whether statement previous poster is a verifyable fact. I was counting on these for my trip and if what the previous poster is saying is true will cause problems with my budget.

I'll talk to Citywalk Guest Services today and find out.

I did talk to them a couple of months ago and they did say that it wasn't supposed to be a free coupon but have honored it anyway. I haven't heard that they have stopped honoring it but will find out today and will post back tonight.

Hey! First time to these boards! I have collected 3 coupons just need one more! How do you tip on these? Go by the regular menu prices or??? I am assuming the meal is @$12.00 and the movie $8.00. Will I be able to use these at all, called US and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Got the wrong person!! Thanks for all the great info!

I talked to Guest Services at Citywalk and it is indeed true that the coupons are only good for 20% off on the movie and meal deal. No free meals and movies with the coupon anymore. There is also a sign saying such at Guest Service in Citywalk and also the Dining cart in Citywalk. It seems they were never intended to be free and it was a mistake. They honored them for quite awhile but can no longer honor it as free.

Thanks for the heads up phamton. I debated on buying more books when they went on sale to take advantage and I'm glad I decided against it. I have a feeling this long thread is about to get L-O-N-G-E-R. It seems lots of people have been collecting these.

That's kind of a no-brainer -- it's a good coupon, so of course people would redeem it. LOL What were they expecting. >duh< They can blame it on an "error" in printing, but someone had to compose and approve the ad.

But what's the cost of the "deal" at 20% off? Isn't the original price $19.99? Still seems like a bargain to me for dinner and a movie, although obviously not as good as FREE. DH and I were going to definitely take advantage of this coupon, but now it's only on our "maybe" list. Which is a shame, because we probably would have spent money in other areas of CityWalk, or purchased yummy drinks to go with our free meal.

My question is, Wasn't this exact same coupon in last years entertainment book and was a mistake? Wouldn't you think that they would be able to fix this mistake? Same mistake Two years in a row, seems rather odd to me.

I know others said it was in the entertainement book last year. I haven't seen it so I don't know.

Well. I am certainly glad to know about it ahead of time. I think it is still a "good deal" but honestly, I wouldnt pay full price because it is extremely doubtful that I would use the movie portion. Using the free coupon, I would have added appetizers, drinks and desserts, and probably still had a decent check. I'm guessing I will be gnoshing on appetizers at RPR club instead and ordering from Flippers now! :hippie:

yes, it was a free deal last year. i still have my last year book and it is in .

this is a bummer for me.

i only planned to use the dinner portion and chuck the movie coupon.

it is not worth it for me now. the $2 discount is not a deal. it does not encourage me to use it at all.

for 20 bucks plus tax and have $2 taken off will still come to about 20 bucks.

its too bad as i have always enjoyed eating at city walk.
