DS & friends are going to WDW and need a cheap, cheap place to stay for their first night. Considering the state of their rooms at home, I don't think a less than pristine room would be a problem. They just want cheapest possible. Thanks!

Priceline.... you can get rooms on Priceline for a very cheap pricel.... right now rooms are popping up at $19 & $20 for a 2 star hotel....now for only 1 night...I would chance it!! I have recently got the Comfort Inn on Palm Parkway for only $20. Will be checking in on 7/24 so I cannot comment on cleanliness....I haven't heard too many reviews on it....the ones I have heard are mixed...some say it's a steal at that price...other say they will never stay again.....but like I said...1 night...it is worth a shot...

Thanks but I forgot to mention their ages 20, 19 & 18. They can't use hotwire or priceline.

The Courtyard by Marriott was offering a deal for around $25 per night. You could try that.

Now on to some not so good places...

They could drive down 192 East and find about a dozen or more $19 a night rooms in the Old Town area. But it's a scarey area, some crime, a heavy black market in room keys (most of the cheap-o places still use real keys instead of card keys). I would suggest that while cheap, it might be worth it to stay clear of the area.

I'd make sure they stay very clear of all Knicghts Inn, Days Inn, the Gator Inn, the Thriftlodge.

If you have an Entertainment book you might look to see what's available at 50% off, you can probably find them something pretty decent in the $40 range.

There are several motel 6 locations around WDW and you only have to be 18 to make a reservation.

I'm in the same situation, looking for something cheap for the first night prior to FTP... I saw something advertised at the Howard Johnsons for $46.18, including all the taxes. (for a Monday night in November) This is 2 miles from the World.

Holiday Inn Main Gate, $49 plus taxes, 3 miles from Disney (Monday in November).. this one, I think, fit a family of 5.

What are your dates?

Check www.hotelkingdom.com for inexpensive hotels and you can compare the prices of all of them. I've used them lots of time for last minute trips and they're great.

Nice Clean safe and Cheap!!!!

That is what we got at Magic Castle Inn and Suites...

We got a King size bed with a pull out couch and fridge and microwave for $33 a night and only 3.5 miles to WDW.

There were also rooms with 2 doubles for less money.

We liked it and stayed for 11 night with no problem...FREE BREAKFAST TOO.

Make sure to ask for the location closest to WDW...There are 2 of them.
www.magicorlando.com ask for the internet rate.
Hope this helps!

I agree with MaMudduck. I've stayed here (Rodeway Inn) and it is nice, free shuttle to WDW parks if needed.
