I have to agree with you about the Filet. This was always one of my favorite meals, but this last time (June, '10), it was terrible. I have no idea what they did, but it tasted nothing like it had in the past. We've crossed this restaurant off our list.

This has happened across the board, at WDW, not just the HBD. They are buying cheaper cuts of meat. Some items have completely disappeared from the menus.

You guys are not going to believe this but if you follow my reviews you know my husband has a magic touch with dining plans and gets the impossible all the time.

Last night we were discussing our plans and now he decided he doesnt want anything other than Mama Melrose...here is our conversation:

Him: I want Italian before we see the lights, like we had last year

Me: I thought you wanted BD?

Him: Well I dont, I want pasta (this from a guy who cannot decide what he wants for dinner tonight..never mind 2 months from now)

Me: Too bad pal, no openings for any time slots, I have already checked a million times

Him: You say that all the time, I think you just say that so you will get your way

Me:

Him: Last year you got us in

Me: That was a fluke

Him: So you say

Me: Well, I have been trying for days to get MM and it aint happening

Him: Did you try today?

Me: Fine! Lets go online and I will prove it to you

Him: Ok....um Nic, why does the computer show a 3:55 pm ressie available at MM on Nov 15?

Me: I don't want to talk to you anymore




So there you have it, DH gets his way again and we are now eating at MM

All I can say is, I LOVE TODD, and I haven't even met him yet.

Now that is hilarious! After all your hard work and then he makes it seem like it's nothing to get an ADR there! DH just recently asked me if we were eating at Boma for breakfast for our upcoming trip. I said, uh no, I didn't know you wanted to eat there! So I was able to book it but I thought it was funny because he had absolutely no input when I asked him right before I booked all our dining reservations. Ugh, men!

Speaking of Mama Melrose, is it really that good? We've never been and now I'm contemplating changing some things around.

We have been there 4 times and it is pretty good, each time we order pasta and we have not been sorry!

We ate at the BD last Sunday and I LOVED my picks! The baby greens salad was delish as were the lamb chops…I’m not a lamb eater but I’d heard they make it well. I wasn’t disappointed!
The toffee desert was insanely delicious!
I did however taste what some of my family ordered- wasn’t a fan of the grapefruit cake. And the Cobb salad grossed me out a bit…but that’s just my personal taste.

I can't wait to go back!

My dh and I love your dining reviews! Not sure if I missed it or not, but when are you going? We picked BD for our Light night, but made our ADR later so I wouldn't feel rushed through dinner. Hope it works out!

Thank you! The plans are to be at the CBR Nov 12-21....celebrating 14 years of wedded bliss LOL

But the original plans were Oct 22-31 and Todd messed it up on me
