We actually lost a webkinz plush toy that belonged to my son. The raccoon to be exact, which my son Ethan named Rudy. We think he got lost in the sheets, the last day of our stay. We filed the report with the AKL lost and found, but nothing ever turned up, and my little one got all weepy about it, he didn't want to fly away without Rudy. Not exactly the greatest way to end a wonderful 10 day WDW vacation.
A few days later, Jim from the lost and found called us, and told us he would either find Rudy, or replace him. Well, Webkinz aren't Disney merchandise, we were'nt sure how that would work. Add to that, we found out that the raccoon is supposedly discontinued? Well, they called all over town, and found one raccoon sitting on the shelf at a Hallmark store in Orlando. They sent someone to go and grab him, and sent him ups to my home. I found this to be absolutely amazing, but it doesnt end there. Jim told my son that Rudy had a wonderful time in WDW after we left, and there may be a surprise in the box when he arrived.
That box came today, inside was: Rudy! of course, but there was also a blue baseball cap for Rudy, the kind made for Webkinz toys. Two packs of Webkinz trading cards, and a plush Animal Kingdom Lodge Goofy! We were blown away, and I just want to make sure the Animal Kingdom manager knows how special this all was to my son.
Thanks,
NB
