We want to go to disney for our son's 4th birthday ! We need to do this on a small budget . My first question is on a budget what have you all done for birthdays? He loved the charcter breadfest at MGM last time and the winne the pooh one at magic kingdom . All he talks about is mickey and he wants to go see him for his birthday . Witch is in august so if you have done a birthday at the mouses house please tell me what you did and how much the special trip ended up costing you thanks so much .

While I have never celebrated a birthday, or planned one at WDW, I just came across this at Deb's site:

*Be sure to stop by City Hall at the Magic Kingdom and tell them it's your birthday. You can obtain a "Today's My Birthday" button to wear!

*Be sure to stop by Guest Services at the Animal Kingdom and tell them it's your birthday. You can obtain a "Today's My Birthday" button to wear!

*Be sure to stop by Guest Services at Epcot and tell them it's your birthday. You can obtain a "Happy Birthday" button to wear!

Tell your server at every restaurant you dine at (Especially true at Whispering Canyon, Prime Time Cafe, 'Ohana, and Character Meals).

Tell the Front Desk at your resort hotel!

Have a Birthday Party at Wintersummerland Mini Golf!

Enjoy the Sandcastle Kid's Club for a Birthday Party.

Take a Birthday Fireworks/IllumiNations Cruise

Do a Pixie Event with Gifts of a Lifetime!

I'm not sure prices, but its a start.

:D

I also want to express my families thanks to you & all the military families out there that keep us safe. God Bless.

Thanks so much everyone :) Atleast now I have a place to start.
I am going to go the resort board and ask where shades of green is stcking military memebers and there family now . I also have to find out If Disney will let me back out of my resevations if hubby gets order over seas . Agian thanks to everyone that has responded so far .

FYI - Shades of Green is putting guests up at the Contemporary Resort, which is a great place to stay, especially with a 4 yr. old. It is very convenient to the MK.

Also, a great place to have breakfast with Mickey is right at Chef Mickey's, located in the Contemporary.

Have fun planning!

Thanks JOC, I knew it was something like that!

If Shades of Green are using Contemporary thats great, however the timeshares will have much more room (to the original poster)
