Need Advice

I have been in the process of renting points from a DVC member for a BCV 2BD(dedicated with two queens) and Studio for May 5-11, 2007. At the time we discussed terms, I was told they would be able to make the full ressie at the 11 month window (otherwise I would have found another member). Now I am being told that since part of the points are not at BCV I will have to wait until the 7 month window. We have already put 60% down.

For those of you who are familiar with the resorts at this time of year, am I going to have a problem completing the ressie at the 7 month window?

Any time you are looking for a dedicated 2BR, you could have a problem at 7 months.

I would ask for my money back and try to get those dates at OKW. All of the two-bedrooms at OKW have two queen beds.

It sounds like the owner you were renting from doesn't know what they are doing. They should have known whether they had enough BCV points or not.

Although the owner should have known better, I'm sure they made an honest mistake and didn't know until they called to make the ressie.

In that situation, the ethical thing to do is either make complete reservations that you are fully satisfied with, or give you a full refund. I doubt you'll encounter any problems with the owner. If you do, please let us know (but don't mention their name -- that's a no-no).
