I have a PS for Rose and Crown for 7:10. I specifically wanted to eat there and try to get a patio table for Illuminations at 9. 7:10 is the latest that was available. Will that be too early? Will they hustle us out out? I know we could linger over drinks/dessert until 9pm, but just wondering if we'll be asked to leave or something.

Advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Same thing happened to us. Usually it is just DH and I so we have no problem getting a PS for 7:45 to 8:00 time frame and then see the show. However, this time we are taking family with and the latest they could seat a party of 6 is 7:10.

I plan on requesting a patio table at check in (they say they can't honor requests like that, but it doesn't hurt to mention it). Usually we have at least a 10 to 15 minute wait. We just plan to have a nice leisurely dinner. If you finish up a little early, they usually say that you can wait on the patio for the show (if you are inside) or just stay at the table. Believe it or not, a lot of people eat there just for the food, not the show, and get up to leave 10 minutes before Illuminations to "go get a spot for the show". Duh! So, they have plenty of tables for later PS's. I wouldn't worry about it, just eat slow and enjoy the meal.

My susggestion is to go with the 7:10 seating. Your likely to be seated by no later than 7:30. If you get a patio seat just eat at a leisurely pace and enjoy the show. If you don't, eat at a normal speed and leave once your done to find another spot around the lagoon. I know they allow you to stand on the patio to watch it, but I personally think that's very inconsiderate to those eating out there. Who wants to eat with someone standing over their shoulder?! Besides, having been on the patio myself for the show, its really not that great of a view. I much prefer watching from the railings in Germany and China.

I think you're cool with the 7:10 PS's. My DW and I usually start trying to find a seat around 7:00.

Have a few pints and relax!

just another note, but there is a small patio area off the restuarant that they usually don't have tables at. This is where we have gone to see the show the few times we have not been able to get a patio table. We were not peering over anyones shoulders while they were eating. I personally don't find this to be rude because we paid the same as the people outside, they just got patio seats by the luck of the draw. Just a thought to keep in mind.

We have never been hustled out at R&C. In fact, I think they are very accomodating there. We've had waitresses actually tell us to sit back, relax and take it slow! Probably because of this, and the awesome food and beer, R&C is our favorite Epcot restaurant!
