We took a 4-day land/3-day sea trip last November. We tried to "do it all," and were exhausted when we got home and I swore I'd never cruise again. Well, once I had time to rest I reconsidered. In January we booked a November 4-night cruise starting 11/3/02 plus a 3 night stay at Wilderness Lodge. Then couldn't resist the temptation and took the Magic (Eastern) in March and loved every minute.

NOW, we are going to visit family in California in August, where I will be able to celebrate a very important birthday at Disneyland and Great Adventure.

I'm not sure we want to do Disney parks CA and FLA so close together.

1) We can cancel Wilderness Lodge for November and book a 3-day cruise to do back to back cruises on the Wonder for about the same price and won't have to change plane reservations. Can do Castaway Cay twice, but Nassau is not one of my favorite places.

2) We can pay a penalty to change our flights, and repeat the Eastern Carib. cruise on the Magic, again for about the same price (plus the penalty, painful, but we can manage it financially).

I'd much rather do the Western itinerary, of course, but we are locked into that particular week because of school holidays, and no matter how many times I check the DCL website, the schedule still isn't changing just for us!

So, should we do back to back Wonder, or Eastern Magic??

Wonder 11/01
Magic 3/02
Wonder/Magic? 11/02

Having already done the Eastern -- I think I'd go for the back to back Wonder with TWO stops at Castaway Cay. Ofcourse, I would want to be sure that I could get the same stateroom for both trips. Good Luck!

I'll dissent and say 7 day!!

My wife and I did two 7 days in succeeding years. The first trip we spent it checking out the Dutch side of St. Maarten and ST. Thomas. Our second trip we did French side and St. John.
So, it was the same itinerary, but drastically different cruise.

Although we enjoy Castaway Cay, it's a pretty beach and not too much to do or see beyond that. And Nassau? We can pass on that for the rest of our lives. :)

The food is better (in our opinion) and activities more varied on the 7 day. For us - that is a no brainer!
