Need advice - POR

We are staying at the POR. We initially booked our trip and had our travel day the same day as our 1st day of park tickets. (bad idea, I know) So we went back and added an extra day up front. When we did that it didn't just change our initial reservation, it now shows as us having a one night stay, then we have a 5 night stay right after. I just checked in for our 1st night stay. Can I call the hotel to somehow link the two reservations so I won't have to wind up staying in one room and then switching rooms for the last 5 nights. (My mother in law booked the trip through AAA, and they did all the booking for us - we are going with a group of people. We are hoping to get rooms (4) by each other)

There have been a lot of reports from people that they haven't been able to add or drop days on their existing reservations without a hassle. I'm not sure how you added that first addtl night...did you have the AAA agent do it for you? The issue is that the AAA agent technically owns that reservation. You can't make any changes to it! The agent would have to call and make that addtl night request, and link it to the other 5 night reservation.

You need to have AAA add the request to your reservations and make sure they are the same category room also mention it when you check in. I have done this several times in the past and have yet to switch rooms.
