Need advice - Poly, GF or Cont. ?

My opinion is.... it's a mess and no reason to vacation there.....looks terrible.

Well that's why they have a fence which covers up the construction & no one is forced to look at it from the 4th floor, unless they wanted to take pictures of it. Besides what is happening in the North Garden Wing does not effect anyone staying the Tower or the South Garden Wing. I will always continue to say the Contemporary is a great place to stay no matter what. Also I hate to see more bad write up's about it because it takes a fair amount of abuse since a lot of people don't like it for the lack of a theme, because there is a lot more good about it then bad.

The Poly pool is the best out of the 3. Of course SAB at Beach and Yacht club is the best, but not on the monorail.

Take the Poly, its great. The theme, atmosphere, location to watch the fireworks from the beach, food choices, is IMHO the best of the 3 monorial resorts.

For food, rooms, CM, theme, ambience I would first pick GF, POLY & CR would be way down at the bottom of my list.

That's a toughie. You need to consider other things when making your final decision. I love the monorail going through the Contemporary, and it's close proximity to MK. Also, the rooms seem bigger (although they probably are not) than Poly.

However, I love the Kona cafe and the tropical feel of the resort. They are my absolute favorites.

Grand Floridian seems like a hospital lobby to me, just white and boring, not my taste at all.

If I HAD to pick one..it would probably be the Polynesian.

Life is so full of tough decisions.

Actually there are three resorts on WDW property where the theming is the architecture. The CR is one of them. For the original poster: If you are an individual who does not want to see constuction zones when you stay at a WDW resort you should select GF or PR. The CR is currently starting a construction project to remove the north wing and replace it with a 10+ story building...something a fence is not going to hide.

That maybe true but the fence does block out the views of what has been left of the North Garden Wing. So like I said before unless you want to see it from the 4th floor, guests won't be able to see what is left of it.

I have to agree with this poster - as long as the construction is not inside or at the pool I could care less. My favorite is POLY, hands down, GF second and CR third. Though, I am staying at the CR this time in April and my kids (17 and 14) are thrilled!
