Need advice on YC-BC stormalong bay worth the$$$$?

Warning: once you stay at the BC/YC, you may never be happy staying anywhere else! Just back this week, I love the BC. We decided to save money and stay at the Dolphin (govn. emp. rate)for the first 5 nights of our trip, then move to BC for 3 nights. We were surprised at how much happier we were at BC.

Earstou, what type of room did yall stay in. Ours will be a standard . I am not that familiar with the BC other than how beautiful it is and I was wondering should I request a certain area or building? Thanks in advance for any advice.;)

We were just in a standard room. We had a balcony but it looked out over a roof and if you looked to the right we saw the inner courtyard. I had requested a room close to everything, since I have disabilities and didn't want to walk far (did enough at the parks).
The other time we stayed we had a view of the golfball, which I don't remember what type of room it was, but it was a beautiful view, but a long walk from the lobby.
I really can't give any advice on what to ask for, but we did enjoy our room. It was larger than the dolphin room, had double sinks outside the bathroom, and had a sofa that one of my kids ended up sleeping on. We just felt we had much more room to stretch out in, even with a loaner wheelchair in the room (which we didn't have at the Dolphin)!

If you want a balcony at the Beach Club, make sure to request the second floor. They have the full balconies instead of the little standing balconies. Also, it is very nice to be able to just go up the stairs right from the lobby and have your room be right there (or close by) rather than waiting for the elevator, I think. The second floor, close to the lobby, is my favorite location at the BC. I just bought DVC, so I will probably be at the villas from now on.

You will love the YC/BC. I just returned 12 days ago from a trip where we stayed 2 nights at the Poly, 5 nights at BWV-- my DVC home and the last 2 nights at YC. BWV will always hold my heart and be my favorite resort and I love having the extra room at the DVC villas but YC/BC is definietly my second favorite resort at Disney.
It is a wonderful resort that has it all: location, beauty, great restaurants, excellent hotel amenities and customer service & guest pampering to the hilt and the pool is fantastic!
Just today I booked my rooms for my upcoming Sept trip and I chose BCV over BWV for my DVC accomendations, which is a REAL biggie for me because I am a true die hard BWV fan. But the deciding factor for me since I will have a lot of down time this trip was Stormalong Bay. I LOVE this pool, it is so beautiful to just sit and relax at with chair side drink and snack service. Ahhhhh, it is vacation relaxation at it's best!
