Me, DH and 2DS are leaving in 1 week for the World. Our main purpose for coming is a Disney cruise leaving on 5/4. We decided to spend a few days at DW ahead of the cruise. I went to buy 3 days of tickets (planning on 1 day each at MK, HS, and EP). I was able to get 5 days of tickets for $78 total. I came up with a plan for a 1/2 day at HS (to get an extra ride in on TSMM and to watch Fantasmic), 1 day at MK, 1/2 day at EP, 1 day at HS, and 1/2 day at AK.

I have gone through each of the attractions, rides, shows, etc with my family and we have laid out all we know we MUST do. After much discussion, DH and I could go without a day at EP, but my boys love Test Track and Soarin and say that park is a must do (we do not have park hoppers). Another must do is Jedi Training so I know we are doing rope drop for HS. The boys would prefer to spend 1 or 2 days at MK, 1 day at HS, 1 day at EP, and 1 day at AK (DH and I really want to do this). We are not going commando this time -- we really wore ourselves out last time. We don't feel the need to see and do everything.

I was planning to either go to MK or HS for a 1/2 day our first day there. I'm now considering EP and would like your opinion. Touring Plans crowd level 3 and not a recommended park per easywdw and Undercover tourist. There are EHM morning hours that day (we are off-site). We basically want to ride Soarin and Test Track as many times as possible (the boys know the lines will be long) and a few other rides. We are not venturing into the World Showcase other than for counter service dinner. We are not planning to watch Illuminations. How bad would it be that night? Will a lot of people head over to the water to watch the show leaving the rides with shorter lines? This will be our only day at EP.

Wed we are doing MK. Thursday we were going to do EP, but may now do AK (either of these are recommended, low crowd days). Friday will be all day at HS.

That brings me to Sat. MK is a Touring Plans crowd level of 5 and not recommended by easywdw. It is ok per Undercover Tourist. That is May 3nd and I know there is a big Seven Dwarves mine event that morning (or is it the day before on May 2nd???). How bad would the crowds be on that day later in the afternoon through the evening? We are not trying to ride the new coaster. We would be able to see the Electric Light Parade that is not showing the Wed we know we are going, and we would stay for wishes. Any thoughts?

I really want to tie this part down and I'll be good once we are in the parks. Any thoughts (especially on the 1/2 day at EP on 4/29 and the 1/2 day + at MK on 5/3?

I would appreciate any input. Thanks much!

Hi. You bought 5 calendar days of admission, not 5 admission tickets so your plan won't work. You can't use 2 days to go into 2 separate parks on a single day, that's against Disney's rules. You would need to buy a 3 day park hopper to do what you'd like to do.

This is the one fundamental mistake that first-timers make so don't feel like you'e the only one :goodvibes

I'm not sure I'm reading it right but that could be me.. usually is lol. The one big thing is this, without park hoppers you can only go to one park a day. You cannot use 2 days worth of park tickets in one day. As long as the math is right you should be OK there. As for your MK day a 5 is not terrible.

No, we are good :) . We actually went 2 years ago and spent 8 days at DW. That's when we went totally commando and were really exhausted. Not doing that this trip.

This trip we were going to rest on our travel day (4/29) and all of Sat (5/3) and spend 3 full days at MK, EP, and HS. Now we are planning to spend at least a 1/2 day on the 4/29 and a 1/2 day on 5/3 because we got the extra 2 days worth of park tickets for so cheap.

Sorry if I wasn't clean in my initial post!

Oh good, sorry I misunderstood. As long as you are at a 5 or below, you're usually good anywhere
