Hi -
Thanks in advance for your help! :love:I'm still new to DVC and will be making our first trip "home" for 14 nights this summer. Right now, due to point saving and family members cancelling and having to chnage things, we have actually 4 separate reservations for this 2 week stay with 3 moves.

Our home resort is SSR.

Right now - we will be in an OKW studio for the 1st 4 nights, a 1 BR the next 7(2 ressies, tho), and SSR 1BR for the remainder.Oh - and I am WL for those last days at VWL, but expect that won't happen.

Questions - We already have the DDP for the first ressie and ADR's booked (DD's b'day falls here!!!) Being that I have all these seoarate ressies, does this mean I can reserve DDP 48 hrs in advance and go on and off it for EACH ressie??? Should I even bother since there won't be too many ADR's left - tho we're very flexible and will take any restaurant??

And what about the moving? Too much?? I'm a widowed mom with one Asperger's boy (16) and DD(12).

Then there's the question of my adult trip w/ DBF - 3 nites at BWV with a waitlist gap the middle night - I'm wondering whether to wait it out or just give up hope of BW and take SSR.???:scared1:

When I read this I realized it was a lot like my summer trip in reverse.

We (me DW DS9 aspergers, DS5) are doing 2 nights cash/AP at WL then 5 nights OKW 1br then 2 nights Sanibel then 2 nights BCV studio starting the 2nd week of August.

This is also my first stay as a DVC member.

We broke our vacation up because DS9 tends to get “bored” after 3-4 days at the same place. I also cannot bring myself to use my points for the weekends. We are renting a car to give us flexibility and to make the moves easier.

This is also the first time flying for the 2 boys. We use our WDW trips as a chance to “stretch” DS9’s experiences.

Some of the things we are doing different are that we got premium Annual Passes with the DVC discount (also getting Sea World AP). We are going back next June for an OKW GV vacation with extended family. We are expecting to do 14-16 WDW days between the 2 trips and want to park hop to give us some extra capabilities to avoid crowds. We also wanted to have access to the Water parks and Downtown Disney for legoland and the arcades without having to pay daily fees since we only stay for an hour or two at each. The AP also gives us 50% off at some of the miniature golf courses.

DS9 is a typically picky aspie eater so we do not do DDP, instead we get DDE ($65) for our sit down meals and eat most other meals in the room before we go to the parks and during our summer mid day breaks.

I think as long as you are not trying to do “commando” park touring you should be fine.

Did you check to see if by chance there was a DVC discount cash day for your missing BW day, I think they can link them.

Thanks, bookwormde, for your thoughts and sharing what works for your family!

I think my Aspie will be okay wth the moves if he keeps his anxiety down. He's great with the DDP and we've done it 3 trips already - he gets his steak and is happy.

We all have AP's thanks to a YOMD miracle so I'm not stressing there, either!

You're doing lots of moving around yourselves and I hope it goes well for you also!

Thanks again - keep me posted on your trip!
