Has anyone stayed at the Ramada Inn Resort Maingate? IT is a Good Neighbor Hotel, but just wondering what someone else has thought about it. I have read diff. reviews but still cannot make up my mind. Thanks in Advance!!

Not sure what rate you got but I think you can do better. There are so many nice hotels in the area and the Ramadas and Days Inns tend to be on the not so nice side..

Check out www.biddingfortravel.com and see what others are getting on Priceline..

I have stayed in the Days Inn Maingate a few years ago and it was fine. No problems that I remember. I got a rate of $34.95 per night at this Ramada. Thanks for the links

Supposedly Disney has certain requirements that hotels have to meet to be considered a Good Neighbor Hotel. I guess we could be safe in assuming that they would not be "dumps".

We have stayed on site in the value resorts before and I loved it. There are several going this trip and if we get 2 rooms and split the cost, it comes out to be an OK amount. I wouldn't mind paying it to stay at the resort, but I am not sure what everyone else really wants to do. You know when you ask someone what the want to do, they say, "it doesn't matter". I hate that. I am a single/divorced mom of a 10yr old boy and each year Ii try and take one of his friends. I usually pay for pretty much everything for this friend, because he never goes anywhere and the parents would never be able to take him. This will be his first disney trip. I started taking him last year and we flew and visited Seaworld for a few days. I am also taking a 34 year old girlfriend with me, that has never been before either. She is paying her way though. LOL I just want them to experience a disney resort stay on their first trip.
The lowest price I have found for resort is $69. and that is with a florida resident rate, we have some friend there and they are coming for 1 or 2 nights. We are going July 24-28, if anyone knows of anyother codes or discounts. Thanks for the help!

It looks like the FL resident or annual passholder rates are the only deals available right now. A wilderness cabin at FT wilderness goes for $144. It sleeps 6, has 1 bathroom, 1 TV and a full kitchen. The (very small) bedroom has a double bed and bunks. There is a pull down double in the living room. They're cute!
