Need advice on non Disney theme park

My DD wanted to use a day of our vacation to visit a non Disney park. We will be there in January for a week and have 4 day hoppers at Disney.

Any advice on where to visit?

We are staying at BCV, using the Disney transportation. So figuring out how to get to the park we wanted is also an issue. There are 7 of us. (I wondered if any rental car places would deliver a rental?)

She really wants to visit Busch Gardens. Is another park better?

You can rent a car from alamo from the Dolphin or the walt disney car care center for a day. You can either walk over to the dolphin, or there is a shuttle that will pick you up from your disney resort to the car care center. As far as a park, I guess it really depends on what you like to do. Busch Gardens will be about an hours drive, Universal will be about a 30-40 minute drive.

I don't think you can go wrong with Busch Gardens. We loved it there!! Have a great vacation...

SeaWorld would get my vote, unless the budget has some flexibility....in which case I would wholeheartedly recommend a day at Discovery Cove.

Gatorland and an airboat ride are also a great combination. Both are half day attractions and combine nicely into one full day. Wild Willy's was the operator we chose, and it was a highlight of our trip. Even got to hold little gators at the end .

SeaWorld would be my pick too. It's a short drive there from Disney. So much would depend on your interests. // I think it takes about an hour and a 1/2 to get to Busch Gardens. // Islands of Adventure would be a good choice, probably, for a Harry Potter fan. Renting a vehicle for the day would be your best bet.
