HELP!! I could totally use some suggestion as I haven’t been to WDW is 1997.

This is an adult only trip with my sister who has never been to WDW. We are going the second week of September and will be doing MNSSHP on that Friday. We are on the deluxe plan and need a few more restaurants. This is what I have so far.

Monday
LeCellier @ 7:40 pm

Tuesday @ EPCOT
1900 Park Fare @ 8:25 am
Teppan Edo @ 2:40 pm
Hoop Dee Doo @ 9:30 pm

Wednesday @ Magic Kingdom
Kona Café @ 9:05 am
Crystal Palace 6:15 pm

Thursday @ Hollywood Studios
50's Prime Time @ 12:05 pm
Sci@ Fi Dine@ In @ 6:55 pm

Friday @ Animal Kingdom & MNSSHP
Tusker House @ 9:30 am

Saturday

I would highly recommend Boma. I hate buffets but I love Boma and if you haven't been to the AKL its really a beautiful thing to see. Also, if you want another signature Artist Point and Narcoossee's are my favorites. In Epcot, I really like La Hacienda-that's definitly new since you were last there, get the apple empanada for dessert, it's my favorite in all of disney.
Hope that helps!

If you are doing MNSSHP on Friday, what about Liberty Tree Tavern?

Ohana is also nice. Either breakfast or dinner. And I always suggest Grand Floridian Cafe. I think it's highly underrated

When we did the DxDP, we stuck to a two-TS-meal-per-day plan. We mostly did TS breakfasts and two-credit dinners, with the occasional lunch/dinner combo thrown in. My comments below are in red.

Monday
LeCellier @ 7:40 pm

Excellent choice, LC is one of our faves!

Tuesday @ EPCOT
1900 Park Fare @ 8:25 am
Teppan Edo @ 2:40 pm
Hoop Dee Doo @ 9:30 pm

Too much food on this day, I'd cancel Teppan Edo

Wednesday @ Magic Kingdom
Kona Café @ 9:05 am
Crystal Palace 6:15 pm

Kona is awesome for breakfast, though I might either try for an earlier ADR (so you can be finished and arriving at the park at 9) or a later one, closer to 11 (so you can do a few must-dos at MK before monorailing it over for breakfast).

I've only ever eaten at CP for breakfast, but the characters are great!

Thursday @ Hollywood Studios
50's Prime Time @ 12:05 pm
Sci@ Fi Dine@ In @ 6:55 pm

Why not try one of the restaurants at Boardwalk, Yacht Club or Beach Club for dinner on this night? You can easily take the boat from DHS.

Friday @ Animal Kingdom & MNSSHP
Tusker House @ 9:30 am

I know you're both adults, but MNSSHP goes late, so I would rethink an earlyish start to the day. I would push back TH and give yourself time to sleep in, or bag another park altogether and do a nice pool day before heading to MK for the party.

Saturday
What parks do you think you'll want to visit on this day? Do you have the full day or are you departing early?

I would recommend moving Le Cellier to a day that you can do it for lunch. They recently changed dinner to "Signature" which means it will be more expensive.

The OP is doing DxDP and has plenty of credits to use.

'Ohana is one of our favorites for dinner and the Cape May Cafe' breakfast is terrific (both the food and characters)! You already have a nice varied selection so your off to a great start!:thumbsup2

Missy & Everyone - Thanks so much for your input. This trip has been REALLY hard to plan as I am Type A (plan & organize everything!) and my sis is the antithesis of that. She HATES having plans of any kind to the point that I can't even get her to decide between 2 restaurants or which rides she wants to do.

Now to figure out where to go for dinner. I was thinking about Big River Grill as my sis loves micro-brews, but not sure since they don't take reservations.

Totally get it, I'm a Type-A planner too. You should see my spreadsheets! DBF complains all the time about all the planning, but he always make sure to tell me how worth it it was after our trips! :goodvibes

That's fine, I found the key to the DxDP was realizing you don't have to finish everything on your plate anyway. :lmao:

Yay! You'll get more done at MK this way before the crowds show up.

Check out the menus here.

Here are some possibilities: Cape May Cafe (Beach Club), Kouzzina (Boardwalk), Flying Fish (Boardwalk), Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club).

One plan (actually it's the plan we're using for our MNSSHP day) is to relax at the pool in the morning, head to MK in the afternoon and have a late lunch (around 3:30ish) at The Plaza at MK before the party gets into full swing. I went with this plan so we can make the most of the party hours (4-12).

Your other options could include dinner at one of the MK resorts, but it will definitely eat into your party time.

Big River could be a good lunch here and maybe add 'Ohana for dinner before you leave?

You don't mention when your trip is (except for MNSSHP), but if it sometime between late-September and late-October, then you might want to plan some time for the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

Not sure what resort you're staying at, but since you'll need to eat something on your pool/relaxing day, maybe a breakfast or early lunch at the restaurant at your resort.

I am still working on my adrs for our december trip. But I will list below some things I just found out after research and might interest you.

On animal kingdom day you can eat at Sanaa at AKL. You can see the animals while sitting and eating. Did not know that, and supposedly its just a 5 minute bus ride, and only 1 credit.

You can watch fireworks at Epcot from Rose and Crown.

You can watch fireworks from California Grill and Narcooses.

Your sister has never been to disney world and is not type A? I would consider dropping down to regular instead of deluxe dining. Deluxe dining keeps you to a pretty tight schedule with everything decided in advance and she might not know what parks she wants on what days because she hasn't experienced them yet.

I think Sci Fi Dine in would be OK to get rid of - we liked it- but mostly b/c the kids thought it was cool to sit in a car and watch movies... but if just adults I think it wouldn't be as cool...

I do think that even adults would love to eat in the castle... I know I was thrilled when DH and I ate there for the first time years ago when we went (didn't have ADRs but waited an hour and got in finally - best seat at the big window center!).

what about the luau show at the poly? (forget the name?)... i think dinner shows would be fun for adults - i have avoided them with my kids b/c they are still so young- but hope to do them in coming years.
